Good for you bro. Just came across your channel recently after seeing you on Dr. mikes channel. Love the content!

I love DY and his style of training, he clearly uses phenomenal range of motion and intensity with a good stretch even before the research for it came out, but he's not always right. He still emphasises peak contraction for example.

Do more videos like this, rear delts for an example. Many find the rear delts hard to isolate or overload without involving other muscles

I still don't understand a proper back day for exercises. I try to do one of these things for each area: lat width as well as back thickness. What I understand is -Cable rows or machine row where my arms make an L shape or go 90 degrees for upper shelf. -Incline dumbbell rows at a slight angle for the traps or Kelso shrugs - For me super close overhand lat pulldowns with standing lat prayers with that curvy W shaped straight bar for lats. Lower back hyperextensions and deadlifts I hope that's a good back day?

Takes a lot of moxie to go up against Dorian Yates but Jonni has it. Of course, just because someone is a multiple Mr. Olympia doesn't mean he knows a lot about how the body works. He might just be a super hard worker, someone with great genetics, has a good supply of alternative supplements, but is otherwise full of bro science.

Wouldn't an overhand grip stretch the lats a little more in the fully lengthened position? Therefore make it better for lat hypertrophy?
@userunknown15784 сағат бұрын
Supinated grip stretches the lats more thanks to external rotation.

Yo , awesome class Jonni🤜🏻🤛🏻...... quick question. Does close grip/handle Pulldowns focus more on upper lats, lower lats, teres VS. Wide grip/bar? I know that the only choices in exercises are wide/close grip wither high to low, cable low to high, and seated wide or close grip. Thanks for any tips

I've been working out for 40 years and been a fan of bodybuilding for 30 years. When I got into bodybuilding, I didn't realize that pro bodybuilders were taking steroids. I just thought they were just taking the supplements they were pushing and I bought. After finding out about their steroids use, I started appreciated my own unenhanced gains. Now I'm 58 years old in great shape and healthy. I'm glad that I never even considered taking steroids. It's all about fitness and health with me not just being jacked.

The number 1 channel to learn about form, intensitie, and anatomy with proper Q's without misinformation, and the only one I recommend to anyone that asks me any advise. Beginner, amateur, pro or body-"experts"... anyone, any age, can understand an exercise after watching your videos.... Jonni, please never stop with what you are doing, because you make the world a better and safer place, where gainz are easier to get then ever before. To everyone else, enjoy your journey, spend some time in the gym, consistent through year or 3, and you WILL be rewarded! Keep on grinding!! (but not the joints 😁👌) Have an awesome weekend everybody!

You are holding the dumbbell too far in front of you. You should be keeping it tight and close to your chest to prevent you from leaning forward when you sit down. Also, holding the dumbbell too far in front of you will cause your shoulders and arms to fatigue faster.
