    @@musicman7297 I feel more comfortable with it and I have a shoulder injury that I feel like doesn’t bother me as much vs holding the rope at the bottom. It’s hard to explain. Next time you are using the rope try it out and see what you think.

    Personally i think you are placing more emphasis on your grip strength especially towards the end of your sets. Ask yourself if you rely a lot on the ends of the rope locking up against your hands when you come back up. If you dont then it wont matter but if you do then its like being assisted to a mild degree.

    @@stevenmcbride9773 I've been lifting probably longer than you have been alive. I use a 1 foot wide bar , no ropes. I basically eliminate using everything but my triceps.
