I agree with one of the comments already posted. Do this for every muscle group so we aren't wasting time in the gym. We can make real progress with you giving us some clear direction on what works the best. I have literally one trainer at my gym and the guy doesn't speak english. Kinda defeats the purpose of him being there tbh. Please make more videos like this bro we need it

I like using the Smith machine a lot more these days for a lot of my workout. I agree about kickbacks and bench dips. With the overhead extensions, do you stick with the bar or would you also use the rope? Good video, Boss.

Johnny, hey just wanna say I really enjoy your videos, your by far one of the coolest experts to listen to, and I respect your knowledge and information you're willing to share. That being said I did want to at the very least ask why 3 specific exercises weren't covered and in my humble and far less accomplished opinion, they're some of the best tricep exercises that exist. 1 where is the skull crusher? I do understand it usually requires a second person to perform the exercise so I was thinking that might be the rain you didn't even include it. 2 where's the dip? I also realize this is also a lower pectoral exercise, but it tends to be a very effective tricep exercise as another expert in the field pointed out, who's name rhymes with flyin' cumiston. Relatively easy to overload with a simple dip/ pull up belt. 3 one of my favorites where's the single arm overhead tricep extension? I think it's easier to overload than the two handed overhead extension as you can bring the rope handle into position with two hands and then perform the exercise one arm at a time, and doing it one arm at a time allows for detection of any imbalances of strength. I also noticed you push the overhead tricep extension from the highest setting on the cable crossover machine, forcing the body to stabilize the weight, in my mind this would make overloading more difficult. I tend to set the cable at a low position forcing the tricep into a fully stretched position at the beginning of the exercise, pushing upward with the tricep instead of outward, allowing the entire body from the heels to stabilize the weight, allowing for much greater overload and stretch, also effectively doubling the amount of potential overload since it's one sided. Not trying to contradict what you're saying in any way you're the expert, just wondering if there's any reason you recommend your method over the method I was just trying to describe?

The tri exercise that I feel the most are dumbbell skull crushers. However, I do not bring the weight past 65degrees of vertical, which keeps tension on the triceps all the way through the entire exercise. Going past 65degrees will transfer the load off of the triceps and onto the pecs.

@@ohhh_mister_wilson Exactly, I have 3 . Tricep cable push downs where after many years I finally dialed in the mind muscle connection to make them work, 2 , is skull crushers with my upper arm at different degrees, 3 ,is standing up Tricep cable push which is basically a skull crusher but I can angle my body to get a better stretch ( just finished the video, im happy to say that this exercise was his number 1 tricep exercise) .As I lift on my concrete patio, I am limited to what I have. But muscles my don't know the difference. 😂

Why do you consider loading lacking on unilateral cable exercises like the cable tricep kickbacks? I don't see why using both hands would be more effective and could mask side imbalances that would be clearer to identify doing them unilaterally. Love your stuff!

KB Swings will change your life and fix tennis elbow. Gives you the "What The Hell?" effect.. I do them as the final boss on every gym visit. They are also great for farmer carries and trap shrugs. Go heavy as hell on both arms and do laps. At the end of the lap do some shrugs then set them down, rinse repeat. Or do suitcase carries if you only have one for more core activation. I weigh about 85kg and I use 20kg for swings because I want more reps and 24kg Kettlebells in each hand for carries and shrugs. Careful though doing carries. It will shred the tendons in your forearms because of grip strength failing. Tendons don't heal like muscle. Specially if you do them after doing deadlifts. Listen to your body.

@@musicman7297 Yes but you said you got a Kettlebell. I didn't know you had a full gym at home.. Why buy a Kettlebell when gyms have them in all different sizes? I was assuming you where working out at home and you had limited equipment. I don't know your circumstances. Just giving advice that I have learned through the years.. But also Kettlebells have wider handles than Dumbbells which is designed to build grip strength more effectively. Or you can wrap a towel around the Dumbbell handle to do the same thing. And I do shrugs because I am working the same muscles when doing carries. The goal is to break it down. Two birds with one stone. Or you can go more advanced and load up a trap bar with 100kg or so, and do carries or trap bar deadlifts. Kettlebells are very versatile and easy to use. Have a good one..
