    I have a hypothesis that, for most people, COVID lockdowns were like solitary confinement. Anyone who's online a lot or introverted knows how to cope with being confined indoors. They can maintain online relationships and remote relationships. The average person has none of these skills, so they proceed to completely and totally isolate themselves. Like they're in solitary confinement...which is torturous to humans.

    I'd be pretty miffed if I lost my nipples personally but from a medical standpoint you don’t actually neeed them. Not to state the obviously but the fact that its possible to remove the nipples without any adverse health effects is evidence that they aren't necessary for someone to have a healthy life. Regarding erogenous sensation its a matter of preference. I had double incision top surgery assuming there may be no sensation which I didn’t consider an issue because it wasn't a sensitisation I personally find erotic. Nipple sensation came back fairly quickly, which I'm not bothered by, but if it hadn't I wouldn't have cared since the decision to keep them was purely aesthetic.

    WELP. I’ve been wondering if there was potential correlation between repeat COVID infections (or long-COVID) and the development of AIDS. Especially among those of us already immunocompromised. I’ve actually been experiencing symptoms reminiscent of how AIDS manifests for months now….really closer to a year. but in the absence of HIV exposure and the midst of so many pre-existing physical disabilities, that’s a rather difficult thing to even attempt to relay without sounding paranoid out the ass. or getting the all-too-familiar wave of the hand + “oh you’re probably just having some health anxiety” that disabled people are so often met with when voicing their concerns. gotta love it here🙃

    Your COVID/H5N1/etc. content is totally valid and I appreciate it, I'm not hearing it anywhere else. After all, problems created by pandemics intersect with trans issues, especially for example when going through and trying to recover from surgery, not only is one's immune system at risk but one needs the very support from others that gets withdrawn during an outbreak.

    No idea why the algorithm threw this my way. Only a complete moron would read Lolita and think it endorses child molesting, and J.K. Rowling is not a moron. As for David Tennant - he is just one of a growing list of celebrities and would-be celebrities who think that having a trans child is a cool fashion accessory.

    I had started wearing a mask in public before covid due to having disabilities and chronic illness. I have a very suppressed immune system and get sicker than the average person when I do catch anything. I am mostly bed bound so mostly only mix with my 2 carers, my partner (who is also mostly bed bound) and immediate family, so a very small group of people, and yet I have been almost constantly unwell with one illness after another for the last couple of years. When I have the rare trips that I occasionally get outside of the house, there's no way I want to risk mixing with random members of the public without a mask! I'm in the UK so I'm thankful that I won't be effected by the laws in America. I feel awful for people who will be effected by those laws though. Like you said, there's so many really valid reasons why people need to wear masks. American government not caring about people's health shouldn't be too much of a surprise though really I guess. I'm sorry you're facing this guys

    It is well understood that covid damages the immune system, it's only been five years, HIV doesn't give you AIDS until 10 years untreated but we are very clearly on that path with repeat infections

    What's this called again? Banning people from places but in convoluted ways? Like "you're "allowed" to go, but you're not allowed to use a bathroom there, so people won't go."

  • @RaptieFeathers
    @RaptieFeathers14 сағат бұрын

    If you are doing a pro-Palestine protest in LA, wear a veil and you'll be fine. See... The proposed ban actually backfires: It *doesn't apply* to "any person or persons wearing attire that conceals their identity if the attire is worn for religious observance or customs." What this has done is would write into law a guaranteed protection that we previously didn't have. Of course, this whole thing still must be opposed because it has a chilling effect on free speech, and it's an authoritarian and fascist policy, and it won't protect you from being arrested, but it at least now gives protestors active incentive to use proper protest practices, and essentially go black bloc. And it offers relief if the cops make the mistake of indicating that this law is why they arrested you.

    I got covid one time, 7 months ago, and I'm still suffering. It gave me anemia, cronic exhaustion, abnormal blood cell formation, cronic cough, asthma, joint pain and it turned my beautiful golden brown curly hair straight and gray 😢. Before covid, I ran 5k's on the regular. Now I suffer through a 2 mile walk and have severe joint pain and can't do much els all day from pain and exhaustion. It's causing me to gain weight and lose muscel because I literally can't exercise. I'm really upset about the results of getting covid. It has taken away everything that I worked hard for or enjoyed about myself. And this was just from one covid infection. You can bet I'm gonna do everything I can to not get it again, and that includes wearing a mask in public!

But I had to go on a plane yesterday, and there was some kid behind me coughing every 2 minutes. Some people are really f*cking irresponsible. Cancel your plans, or put a mask on your kid. Idk if I fully agree with you. I truly don't see the purpose in a mask ban, as all it does is just expose the immunocompromised to more diseases. However, "aSsAuLt WeApOnS" saved my life. I really don't think banning them will stop these people from using them against us, but it will give them ammunition (no pun intended) to rally their people into a full-blown J6 2.0. Plus, I can just print an AR in my basement. It's not hard.

    Yo, South Minneapolis Queer community is on top of this. Our People's Pride (One by local lgbt orgs, zero corporates) wearing a mask was mandatory even though it was all out at a park. Masks provided. Even at the punk trans parties I go to, 80 person house party, all masked, even at an all trans beach party. I was already used to this years ago as I used to work at a HIV center. Healthy LGBT communities show care for each other's health. I don't understand why people find putting on masks so detestable when we all have immuno-compromised friends.
