Trans Teen Athlete FORCED OUT of High School

Ойын-сауық

In this video, we delve into the story of a transgender teenager in Florida whose high school life was turned upside down due to discriminatory laws. Once a beloved student, athlete, and class president, she now faces isolation and online schooling. Her mother, a school employee, is fighting against losing her job for supporting her daughter's right to play sports. This emotional journey highlights the challenges faced by trans youth and the ongoing struggle for acceptance and equality.

Literally showing how these laws are predatory. This girl's presence was doing NOTHING to harm the other girl's in the sport. She had an active disadvantage, like tf? It was NEVER about "protecting women" and always about forcing trans folks out of public spaces

she took someone else's spot. Definitely not predatory. But there's a girl somewhere who didn't make the cut for the team. That causes resentment. Why can't we have noncompetitive recreational/intramural leagues that do not lead to scholarships? Teams can and should be co-ed.

@@ajasen that applies for cis people though. For every 1 person on a sports team there are 20 people who tried out and failed. Why would a trans person, especially a stealth trans, cause more resentment than their cis peers? This is no fault of the student, she tried out like everyone else and it’s down to the other students to improve and take her spot. Also the article says she was mostly on bench, last I checked that meant she faced much less play time and was mostly a reserve in case of injury. So even then she’s not constantly on the pitch, hardly a crucial part of the team!!! Just an FYI, non-competitive teams do exist. *It’s called gym class, also known as PE/Physical Education, you soggy donut.* Or, better yet, have you heard of after-school sports clubs? Where anyone can join for fun, both new and experienced players, allowing the established players to improve and the new players to get started.

@@ajasen really She took somebodies place ? Who says that there are teams that can not beformed because there are not enough children playing. Like there was an other chase where the transgirl was the reason the scholl even had a team because otherwise they would had not enough players. So please if you do not have more info on this do not say this. most teamsports in highschool do not lead to scholarships and are mainly a "fun" activity for people to hang out with friends and do sports. And its the social interaction those people try to cut and isolate and remove transppl from society.

Arguing with a trans phone is pointless. Trans people just want to exist but anti trans people will complain about anything in order to keep us away from all public, private spaces. No matter what precautions or measure taken by trans people to just fit in, will never be enough for these hateful people. It's so messed up that people would go out of their way to out someone just because they can't fit in their tiny, ignorant little brain that we are all different and yet still human beings. We can thank all this hate mongering on the right wing maga dumb asses. So so sad that stuff like this is happening.

I agree with you we need more accomplices and less allies. The Mom is an absolute LEGEND. I hope this girl does not suffer more than she has. She is living the life I wish I could have. If the parents dont have a lawsuit against the school and district they really should sue. This girl has lived her life as a girl.

The one good thing to come out of this horrible discrimination is that the people who hide behind "parental rights" as an excuse for their bigotry can't really use that anymore because kicking a child out of school for no reason other then existing, and trying to fire the mother just because they are supportive is the exact thing they should be calling out if they actually cared about parental rights.

Christ...the amount of investigation and involvement is nothing short of insane. You'd think they were trying to root out a budding terrorist or school shooter with the level of scrutiny involved. It makes me glad I'm trans in Canada, because both the UK and half the US have lost the plot. Here's hoping we don't follow suit. Where it concerns Norton and her daughter- they could do nothing to Norton in terms of retribution and it can already be said they did far too much. Norton is the definite hero in this story.

Sadly canadian politicans also kinda have lost the plot along side with them. Alberta, Saskatchewan, New Brunswick have all launched anti trans legislation in the past few years. Pierre Poilievre the guy probably most likely to win federally next election is extremely alt right. So it's not looking great here either, still far better then UK and US for now at least.

The thing that sucks about this is that she's tiny and therefore easy to dismiss as a "threat" meaning I, a six-foot-tall trans woman, and seen as a threat. 😢😢 I also wasn't well-loved by my classmates in high school. I was abused and it messed me up, making my peers shun me. I was in special educational because I'm autistic, so the regular students thought I was crazy. I hated high school. And to top it off, I couldn't afford a cap and gown at graduation, so I didn't get to go to graduation with any friends I did make.

I never knew being trans and being liked by everyone in school and liking school life can exists in the same time because my experience in high school was basically nothing like her. But it made me happy because I read so many grey stories and vents about trans people in my country, until those stupid things happened forced her to drop out of school because of being trans. I didn't realize I needed to transition until long after I left school, and even though I'm not exactly trans, I'm non-binary, I think if I had figured out what I really needed in high school or earlier, I would have done it without hesitation. being myself has caused me a lot of trouble, it has caused me a lot of trouble since the beginning, in my past life, I had to learn and imitate the behavior of "normal people", and feel ashamed and inferior for who I am. I don't want anyone to experience what had to experience ever again. I am angry and sad about her experience, I hope that all of us can get the love and respect that we deserve.

@@EvelynIsDeprecated i'm living in Denmark, we got our own problems with trans healthcare, but nowhere near US or UK.. I needed to wait 9 month for first consultation, but it was because of aftermath of covid. Normally it is at most 3 month..😅 we still got kinda gate keeping, but it is mostly in respect to surgeries because they are free, for MTF top surgery it is first available after 2 years on hormons, because they can grow indtil there.. else we can pay to get them done. (with psychiatric consent still) For bottom we need to wait a year to get on a list and wait a looooooong time (4-6 years) or pay yourself.. in general it is not that hard to get on the list, they just need to make sure that HRT arn't enough and your body can handle long time usage of HRT.. for FTM top i dont think you need to wait to get on the list and it has not that long of a wait time, for bottom it is also faster than for MTF
