When our drag troop went to read at Children's Hospital, we all wore surgical masks, because you never knew if you were reading to someone being treated for spina bifida, MS or HIV, etc. You just didn't take these risks. Even a staph or TB infection could be fatal.

"Maybe if we get a cold we should stop seeing people" YES!!!! I knew this would not stick as a standard of behavior, but the best thing that was promoted in '20-'22 was staying home if you have symptoms. Interesting point about human infectious diseases may alter your brain and make you more likely to behave in ways that will spread it. Makes sense, but isn't something one generally considers in these circumstances.

The concept of "normal" should just be abolished/disregarded. Nothing good ever comes from it. Just focus on doing what's right.

This kinda shit is why I disagree with people wanting to treat COVID as if "it's just the new cold, it doesn't matter". The pandemic. Has not. Fucking. Ended.

Thank you for continuing to advocate and educate about covid19. Seriously. You are one of a handful of creators who actively acknowledges that we have a BSL-3 pathogen that has just been allowed to spread unabated.

Hoping you aren’t sick of me commenting about this again. Im diagnosed with MECFS most probably triggered by Long Covid, and it is horrible. I wasn’t the MOST active person before this, but I had a life. I used to walk and cross country ski, do art, play video games, table at conventions, see friends, and travel. All that is gone. Now I’m stuck in bed all day, can’t do much (goodbye art and gaming), because of increasingly severe brainfog, dizziness and pressure in my head. Even talking to a friend on the phone for 15 minutes crashes me. I didn’t used to have pain, now it is chronic. The fact that so few people know or care about the risk of developing this blows my mind. Again, thanks for talking about this Luxander.

Gods, ME/CFS is so awful. I think the videos on Physics Girl's channel about her ME/CFS and how she can barely even look at her phone without it crashing her made a big difference for my partner understanding the risks of covid exposure. It's not just that it can kill you, it's that it can rob you of your life. I really hope we make some breakthroughs in treatment so that you can have some of that life back

Agoraphobia is not paranoia, it's anxiety. Anxiety from COVID trauma is still anxiety.

Coughing on someone or on produce in a food store while being sick with a deadly virus is also considered as mass destruction with a biological weapon.

God I'll never forget the time my sister came sick back from a cross county trip summer of 2020, and right before she went to get tested she coughed on my brother because "I don't actually have covid" an hour later she was back with a positive test and didn't even apologize, luckily he's the inly family member that's never tested positive (kinda surprising since he's done like 6 cross country flights since then), but that sister has had it like 4 times, and when I got it everyone but that brother gave me shit because "clearly the vaccine doesn't work if you got it" despite the fact that it was so mild I didn't even think about until my food smelled like chemicals over a week in (apparently the 3 boosters I've had were supposed to make it impossible for me to get it, instead of you know, making it much less rough)

It's crazy how people believe a vaccine is like, a magical ward against the virus entering your body. Like, no, it can still enter your body, it's just the picture you show the bouncer so he knows who to kick out
