God do I feel that "we are all passing around the same 5 bucks." Me and like 4 of my friends are just juggling funds to get basics. If we divided what keffals got between us it would be literally life changing

I don't judge someone prioritizing their own financial interests & leaning into advantages from generational wealth ( *whispers* and whiteness), bc I'd be wicked hypocritical if I did. But when Anita Sarkhesian was given an unexpected flood of crowdfunded money, she made a point to ramp up the production value on what was previously a really modest series (i.e. Tropes Vs Women) & communicated w/ her backers wrt what she was spending that money on. I also think that Keffals' fraudulent behavior cuts esp deep to a small, marginalized community like trans+ ppl.

I'm curious why was the guy who was looking into Keffals looking into her in the first place what exactly put him onto her.

not the first or last streamer to raise money for a lawsuit and use it for something else but yeah always sad.

This kind of things is why I have trust issues. I'm done supporting people online, stuff like this happened way too often.

It feels weird to be talking about this now, after the "official" fallout, via Mutahar. As if every time we talk about it, it allegedly because of his video. Even though we've been talking about it for the better part of years now. As if our voices were popular enough to have been more than a opinion segment to begin with, or she didn't deserve the grace to make the mistake in the first place. What really surprised me, was she knew about the website that wasn't "The Farms", that targeted her for the doxxing and subsequent harassment. But she went after The Farms anyhow. Not that they didn't deserve it, didn't house address information or that anyone on Vile wasn't also an active member of The Farms; but she knew who had initially targeted her. Come to learn now, that Joshua Moon even sent her the evidence on Vile, when she initially accused her kiwi thread of having her address information. But by then she had already ran with the kiwifarms suicide stories. It just shocks me, that even after this long, we're still learning new things about what happened leading up to, and into keffals debacle.

Keffals is a majorly problematic figure. She instigates drama to get views/traffic, she is inherently dishonest and disingenuous _all the time_ and she muddies the water of any matter she gets involved in. I think she's just toxically self-centered, but by her actions I think you could certainly make an argument for her being a right-wing agent provocateur. To be clear, I don't think that's actually the case, but it doesn't entirely matter because it's the results of her actions that matter more than her potential intent. Also, there's at least some self-awareness from her. She knows she keeps the worst company, she knows that she stirs up drama very unnecessarily, and that she's cultivated a rather toxic audience. But rather than _actually_ try to change that, at most she'll try to do things differently one day out of every couple months before coming up with some excuse and going back to be fake toxically untrustworthy and fake. She did one good thing, by turning her instigations and dishonesty and trolling against an far, far, far worse group. That was good. I'd love it if that had been a turning point for the better. But it was more of a one-off. I think her hardcore followers will just deny that there's anything wrong at all. It's what happens with that whole para-social thing. But I just don't think she's good for people to watch, it'll get you into a reactionary mindset, one that undermines if not outright destroys community building efforts and attempts to actually _do_ good and positive things.

I was just getting into her community a little around that time, had fun helping ratio people and then things went off the rails. Didn't help her stream had max ads and ad frequency making it literally unwatchable without subscribing.

I never see anyone that actually donated to her ever complaining. It's always people just wanting to continue to use her for drama bait or that are in rough times and feeling envious. Stop trying to be part of the soap opera challenge is getting more and more difficult for so many of the folks that I thought were above it all.

I donated to her but I don't really follow her, so I only found out about everything from people like Lux, going over it. There are people in the communities of Demonmama, Luxander and others who donated to her. It's not just a soap opera, a bunch of people were misled into giving her money, and the go fund me is still active.

@@LuxanderReal okay, so one example that just happens to be one of the most contrarian members of this corner of the Internet. That's not very surprising considering that it would obviously generate views to frame things that way, but the resounding majority of Clara's community understood that she also needed money to move and establish a new life across an ocean in addition to any potential litigation costs if she had a chance at a case against the police. Maybe it just made more sense to focus the money to other things than lawyers that won't really accomplish anything significant? She was obviously very shaken by the experience, who wouldn't be? Even if she exaggerated some of the details, it had to be a chilling experience. Taking a turn to give her a kick though she hasn't even streamed in something like 6 months just feels out of character for you. I don't really get it. Why even chime in on this when kiwi farmers were the ones responsible for making her trend recently? It just seems a bit gratuitous, especially considering that historically you haven't even been about inter- community drama like this.

Whilst it really is upsetting that keffals fucked about, I don't think Xan called out ANY of the things she has actually done. He's just as wrong as Keffals, he's just not as fraudulent as keffals... yet...
