KS Sues Biden Over Trans Protections 🙄

Ойын-сауық

The state of Kansas is waging a deplorable legal assault on the rights of LGBTQ students. Attorney General Kris Kobach has launched a multi-state lawsuit challenging the Biden administration's updated Title IX rules that prohibit discrimination against transgender students in federally funded schools. Kobach's bigoted arguments rely on debunked claims about trans girls having unfair advantages in sports and cite religious objections from staff as justification to discriminate. This video exposes the hate-fueled motives behind the lawsuit and pushes back against the anti-trans rhetoric. It dismantles the pseudoscientific myths about trans athletes and highlights the cruel consequences of denying trans youth the ability to fully participate. Despite the AG's efforts to legalize discrimination, the courts have repeatedly upheld trans students' rights and Title IX protections.

THIS. In stories I write, I write dialogue about how destructive this level of hatred is and how it's destroying the villains.

I am a Christian and I agree ,religious delusions are seen as a valid excuse. But there are many of us who stand against this blanket hate and for us it has zero to do with our faith which is to judge no one, and we could not go far enough away from this toxic culture which unfortunately seems to be the majority.we all have a right to freedom from religion when it does not appeal to us. As for my personal position it does not match my image of a god that just loves and can not judge ,so don’t push your anti trans rhetoric on me, I have to say to those extreme religious bigots.

Yeah, there is a kind of ironic hypocrisy in the way that conservative Christians use the constitution. They claim the constitution gives them the right to their own religious freedom and practices, and their religious practices claims that their beliefs supersede the constitution. It's literally a: "the rules say, I don't have to follow the rules" paradoxical argument.

I'm still fuming about Riley Gaines. You're right, Lia Thomas didn't even win most of those races. She tied with Riley and Riley was defeated by four other cis women. But instead of taking her L like a champion would, she chose to get rich lying about trans people.

The worst case of this I've seen is the skateboarder who complained about being beaten by a trans woman, and then we find out they were both beaten by a 10yo cis girl. Like honey, you lost to a child, the trans woman isn't your issue, skill is.

@@cambriaofthevastoceans6721- It's eroding their brains. It's so bad now that two cis women put each other in the hospital because they both thought the other was trans.

People once held religious beliefs that they thought excused racism, they also held religious beliefs that held women as second class citizens, religion has been used as an excuse for bigotry over and over again.

I've interacted recently with a seemingly trans supportive person in general, but who was adamantly against trans women in sports. Completely ignored my appeals to physical tests and to fact that we don't see any "domination" of trans athletes, instead resorting to conflating cis men and trans women as if there is no difference between the two in attempts to make a common sense argument. I just don't understand these people

That’s incredibly frustrating. I think it also shows how many people who describe themselves as “trans supportive” are not really trans supportive at all, and just view trans women as men and trans men as women

This has been my ongoing challenge to them. Show me the phenomenon before you try to tell me what the cause is. Arguing about advantage is just question begging when they can't point to trans women actually outcompeting cis women. I want a demonstration that a problem exists before i will entertain talk about causes or solutions.

That's the difference between supportive and begrudgingly tolerant, they merely tolerate the existence of trans-people to avoid being seen as blatantly bigoted but they do not actually support trans-people. You see these begrudgingly tolerant types with every kind of bigotry they are always the ones that start a sentence with something that sounds vaguely supportive then add the "but" and reveal their true bigotry after the "but".

I don't even think trans women who have been through male puberty should be removed from female sports...ppl keep crying ITS NOT FAIR ITS NOT FAIR, but how FAIR is it that a trans woman has to go through a male puberty and was denied puberty blockers? It's just sad to think that if a trans woman has gone through male puberty, her whole life is wrecked in certain ways and there'll always be certain things she'll never be allowed to participate in , now THAT is REALLY UNFAIR

I still don't get how people prove they have a "deep seated religious belief". The court can not see inside their head, and all the trappings of belief like holy books and symbols can be acquired by anyone. You can always invoke that they are wrong according to a different sect of the religion. Furthermore - what utility does this have?

  • @sandwichqueen

So when is pork being banned? Freedom of religion does not mean everyone else has to follow your religion. Also, remember when that trans guy was forced to play on the women's team. And that people got mad at him. Anyone who actually cares for "women's safety" would realize that trans rights are very inner connected to women's rights. How many times do we have to go through the same exact dance before they realize this? How many times do cis women have to be hurt because "they're too masculine to be a real woman"? How many people have to be hurt until they realize it makes bathroom safety worse? How many people have to get hurt before they realize blaming someone else for an issue doesn't magically solve that issue? I don't think we're protesting hard enough. I feel like we need to try harder to get it done.
