Puberty Blockers Now A CRIME in England (but only for trans kids!!!)

Ойын-сауық

In a shocking turn of events, the NHS has issued an emergency ban on puberty blockers for trans youth, sparking outrage and concern across the UK. This new directive means that trans adolescents who were previously obtaining puberty blockers legally through private clinics must now cease their medication or face criminal charges. In this video, we delve into the implications of this policy, the emotional and psychological impact on affected families, and the broader debate on trans healthcare rights. Stay tuned as we unpack this urgent issue and its potential consequences. Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more updates.

I'm voting SNP myself. Unfortunately, I'm not sure whether the current trans treatment situation applies to the Scottish NHS, but I have heard that Scottish trans clinics are pausing treatment with puberty blockers because of the uncertainty of the legal situation. 🏳‍🌈🏳‍⚧

I'm raging, her bairn is the most amazing wee human you could ever meet. No idea who I'm voting for. I can't bring myself to vote for the SNP cos Swinney and Forbes, no Green candidate here so I have no good options. It's a shame that the Radical Independence Campaign was sabotaged by Conter, we really need RIC to be reinvigorated. Queering the Indy movement would definitely help our situation.

@@whalefsh You have my sympathy for the plight of your friends, left out in the cold like that. It's an unconscionable act by an evil government. And I don't blame your disgust with the SNP, either. I'm not a diehard nationalist and recognise they need a good kick up their arse to sort themselves out. Still, your only other options are red or blue Tories who don't like trans folk and find them a useful political football. I can't tell you who to vote for - being between a rock and a hard place is no fun. In situations like that, I'd always go with whichever seemed the party or individual who'd do the least harm. Might be worth seeing if the candidates themselves have ever made any statements on the issue.

@@whalefshThis is so horrible. I’m also Scottish and got put on the waitlist at 14, been on it for a year (I’m 19 now). With diagnosed autism, some documented trauma and mental health issues I can’t help but think about how doomed I’d feel if I was younger. I started trying to go private and was already like £400 out of pocket (which is a LOT for my very working class family) before I got called up by Chalmers. Luckily every healthcare worker I’ve dealt with has been respectful, generally the case up here as opposed to England as far as I’m aware, but you get one bad egg in the initial NHS process and you’re done for. This is even more the case now with this absolutely ridiculous CASS review. I want to say it doesn’t surprise me but honestly looking through the thing it’s so insane and utterly ridiculous this passed- doesn’t take an academic to see through the absurdity of the claims and weak, regularly disproven studies. I was under the impression things were different here with our Parliament, this is so devastating and such a huge step back for young people. I hope your friend’s kid has a good community and support around them, it sounds like it, I really hope they manage to stay strong through it. When you’re young it’s hard not to feel totally hopeless and alone with something like that, but there are so many of us who have lived through that bleak darkness and come through the other side to find a life brighter than we ever hoped for. Same on the voting, I’m desperately hoping by the time voting comes to play it’s not Swinney. There’s no way we’ll accept that. Otherwise I’m just going green or looking for independents. The state of the world is incomprehensible, we’ve gone so far backwards.

i was one of the british trans kids who had to go through puberty on the waiting list for years, only to get to my first appointment at 16 to be told I'm too old for blockers and they can't give me hormones without blockers, so there was nothing they could do other than refer me to the adult waiting list when i turned 18. targeting the few who get in early enough to get blockers instead of giving us access to this medicine sooner is just cruel. (also i can confirm that the highly invasive sexual and personal questions asked in the adult clinic are the same in the under 18s clinic, i was asked all of those things as a 16/17 year old sat next to my mother, i'm lucky to have a good relationship with my mum but it was still humiliating)

I'm Scottish too, a cis gay male. Here's the political background. The Tory government (the so-called Conservatives, the equivalent of your Republicans) have been in power for 14 years, had to call an election (has to be held every 5 years or less), and were so unpopular because of the economic crisis after crisis they caused, that they decided as a last resort to see if some good old culture wars could get them out of being totally annihilated when the election came. So they looked on the trans issue as a godsend, which is why they decided to be draconian after not giving two hoots for 14 years. The election, ironically enough, was called for July 4th, which might be our indpepndence day from the Tories at least, as the culture war didn't help them one bit. They sacrificed British trans klids for a political advantage they never obtained. The bad news is, that the current opposition, the Labour party (the equilvalent of your Democrats) which is likely to win a landslide victory is being led by a man whose opinions on anything and everything shift with the wind. Sometimes he's been known as a Red Tory (as opposed to real Blue ones - the colours are opposite form the ones you use), promising to change nothing, other times as a wishy-washy liberal. No-one actually knows what he'll do once in power, there's just a general hope he might not be as bad as the Tories have been. I've no idea where he stands on trans issues because he waffles on those as well. He'll always take the path of least resistance he can see to gain power for himself. He's as spineless and lacking integrity as any real Blue Tory, at any rate, if he thinks her'll lose votes, he won't support the issue.

@@user-yy5di3qg5u- I'm American and we're dealing with the possibility of losing all civil rights via Project 2025. If a Republican wins the next election we are finished. The right-wing here will forcefully convert everything to Christianity, regardless of whether somebody believes it or not. LGBTQ people, women, and people of color will lose all their rights. Women will be forced to stay home and have children. Trans people will be forced to detransition, change their names back to their given names, and dress according to their birth gender. People of color will be openly cast out of society, essentially reverting the country to pre-cuvil rights era when segregation and racism were acceprable and legal. It will be a nightmare. And somehow, only one news station has broadcast it to the public. What's frightening is most people here WANT this to happen. I have no hope left for the USA and I can't escape.

Thank you for talking about Food Stamps! So many people that have never been on them think that people don't have to work to receive them. If you are 18-49 years old and not disabled, you need to work 36 hours a week to get them. If you can't find work then you must volunteer or attend special training programs to qualify. Also, if you don't have a social security number, you cant get any. Only those who are born or naturalized citizens get the help. Many employers pay so low a wage that the tax payers are on the hook for food, housing and medical bills of the poor.

Hello users. I'm not from England, but i think you should not worry. I read only now about an "emergency ban" that will last from 3 June to 3 September 2024, but i do not know how much is real. What i think is out of discussion, not only cause i'm out of your country. It's only until 3 september 2024. I understand egodistonic sexuallity could be very deep, but usually a lot of doctor go on vacancy on summer too😅. Those kind of medical discussion (and care too) take more time. Is not a "social murder". Do not listen politics, try to understand your parents and get out of youtube comment about medicine if you are a minor. I'd like to give advice, but i think you are already smart enough to understand there is not hurry.

I wish I'd been allowed to transition sooner because I had to undo all the changes puberty made to my body that made me super depressed and sent me half out of my mind.
