It's an EXPS 2-0. I probably should've gone with the EXPS 3 for when I finally get Night Vision, but I can always upgrade later on and put this one on my .300 Blackout or something, at that point.

I've had my sport 2 for a couple of years now. It's completely stock. Hopefully soon my can is in and then I'll be changing out the handguard and mounting a different optic. I'm leaning towards the Atlas S one.
The S-One is alright, but I recommend the R-One because it has a full length picatinny top rail. I made the mistake of getting a handguard with the top rail cut out like the S-One has and mounting a switch for a light was a problem.

I actually got the Daniel Defense fixed iron sights just the other day, as well as a really good light setup. Those things will be in next week's episode...
Is there not enough space to mount the rear iron between the magnifier and Eotech? Sure it may look goofy but functionality will stay the same
I probably could've done that, but I went in a different direction. You'll see what I mean in next week's video.
Looking good so far and looking forward to the completion of your build. When talking about your flip up sites, I’d replace them with the Daniel Defense iron sites and leave the magnifier off, keep it on ur 14”. Other than that, excellent build so far. 🤘🏼😎🤘🏼
Thanks! That's exactly what I did. I picked up the Daniel Defense fixed sights in their "mil-spec+" brown, which matches the handguard and they look really good on it.

My next build im going to use the geissele manoweapon bolt carrier and a BCM bolt! Im curious how the nano coating feels, hopefully its pretty slick
From what I've read, the Geissele nano weapon coating is supposed to be really good!
I just sent an email. My individual efile form was submitted Jan 26 so I'm at day 178! I have also contacted my Senators and House Rep to see if they can get them to do their jobs. I encourage everyone to contact their congressmen. Maybe with enough pressure one day approvals will be the norm for everyone.

Go with the midwest industries combat rifle rear flip up sight. That'll be low enough to let you use that unity flip up with the magnifier. That's what worked for me and what I use with my set up. I'd show a pic if I could.

It’s a 10.3 so honestly wouldn’t even worry about any sort of magnification. The sig flip ups look good so I’d rock them and save yourself some coin 👍🏻

is there a Mark "MK" designate for 556 rifles that have 20 inch barrels? and a free floating quadrail ? all these MK desginations get cnfusing to me. FYI.. take a look at PAMAX Tactical Xslick BCGs.. I been running them for a few years now, especially with my spicey reload recipes.. they have been holding up great for me
Long story short, no. But you can always build your own and call it a “Mock-“ I’m gonna build my own version of a MK12 and call it my Mock13 cause it’ll be what that rifle was supposed to be. Military had to use 18” barrel for that upper because bureaucrats weren’t gonna purchase 20” match barrels because they already had 20” m16 barrels

The MK12 has an 18" barrel and free-float quad rail...

😂I mean you could just move the back sight in front of the Eotech, and maybe move the Eotech a slot or two back. I would prioritize maginifier before backup sights of you aren't going into combat.
That is since you're running EXPS2 so I assume you have no plan for IR stuff, thus having two irons riding handguard ain't too bad.

@@sawtoothtactical404 IDK if this would help, what I did for a Bren2 with Eotech and Unity is that I first made sure the magnifier has the correct eye relief, then I have the CZ folding back iron sight right in front of that, unfolded and up against the Eotech. So the iron can be folded down when I don't have maginifier on the rifle.
In your opnion what Eotech should I get for a DD M4A1? I will probably get a magnifier.

An EoTech is an EoTech. Buy what fits your style (500 series, XPS, or EXPS) and budget. The remaining differences are pretty much battery type and mount.
@@NoMastersxNoKings I don't understand the difference between them? I want a Eotech that's not the most expensive one and that is good with a magnifier. I don't understand the difference of why some need higher risers and some don't? He made it sound like in the video that if you use a magnifier with one of the Eotechs that you need different risers so that it aligns properly. Sorry for all the noob questions I just Don't understand I'm pretty new to guns.

There’s always the flip to side mount for the magnifier instead of the unity one. You can keep the backup sights and still have a magnifier. Or there’s a 3 or 4x prism scope with a top mounted red dot option

Make sure you use a ballistic calculator if you feel it necessary to use a 2.26" mount. It's going to screw up your zero so a 50/200 isn't going to be a 50/200 not that it would've ever been perfect anyway. But either way, those 2.26" mounts make your holds at distances really stupid imo. I think those mounts are super overrated. Lower 1/3rd or even 1.93 is fine. Especially if you're not using nods. Then, if you ARE using nods AND the FTC magnifier the magnifier is going to bump into your nods and it kinda defeats the purpose of having the riser in the first place. It can be very awkward shooting from the prone too. I ran a Unity FAST for 2 years and just recently finally removed it and I'm glad I did. Its a super niche product that went mainstream because people thought high speed guys did it so they wanted to copy what they saw without realizing for their particular use case it offers no tangible advantage and actually has quite a few legitimate disadvantages. If you don't have nods, its pointless. I'm gonna get flamed by guys saying "BRO I NEED A HEADS UP DISPLAY". Okay, its your gun so you can put whatever you want on it.

Makes no difference, there is no empirical evidence a phosphate extractor makes a difference other than it looks like it would.
I had the same problem with my set up. I ended up getting rid of the flip to Center and the one with the flip to side magnifier.

You could get some canted irons and still have room for the magnifier. Also you will appreciate the risers even more when you get Nods. 🤙🏼
Canted irons are lame. It’s a 10.3, no point in running magnification lol. So the sig sights he has on it already are perfectly fine.
@@waffle_chuter I agree. Was just giving him another option to fit the magnifier as well as having back up irons. I'd personally rather carry binos rather than having a magnifier on anything shorter than a 14.5
@@threat2demoracy5454 I’ve thought about running a magnifier on my 11.5, but then again I thought to myself it’s just an 11.5 lol. So I run an eotech with some buis and leave it at that. I have a 16” that I run a 3-12 with a top mounted red dot for when I want to shoot farther.
Use the original EOTECH mount for the magnifier so you can still keep the iron sights.
im currently doing a mk18 build myself. I am going colt lower and upper with daniel defense 10.3 barrel. Currently putting my lower together.

Great info brother. I've told people the same exact thing, I wouldn't risk my freedom or end up with a felony charge all over nonsense. I prefer a chopped BCM grip but wouldn't recommend it on a pistol because if you're ever in court the gov't can bring up the fact that BCM clearly labeled it as a Vertical Grip.👍🏽🎯🇺🇲💪🏽
That's what I think, too. Just not worth the risk when other options are available.
