You definitely get what you pay for. These days it seems like most of what we pay for is marketing gimmicks to convince us to we need something new

At this point, I don't technically NEED any new guns, but I'm starting a MK18 build, anyway. Sometimes, we just want something new.
Mine is a PSA stripped lower with a Aero upper. 16 inch barrel 223 wylde. Optic is a primary arms 1x Micro prism. Streamlight with pressure pad. 15inch quad rail with fde rail covers, vertical grip and ambo controls. Go to pistol is my Sig P320 RXP with the sig Romeo and streamlight weapon light.

Nice!
Similar for me: 5.56 that I built, solid and middle of the road build. Very reliable. Handgun is my Glock 19. It’s the one that I hit consistently with better than the rest. Night sights and flashlight. Great video. Yes, it’s good to be prepared.
Glad the Rosco barrel worked out for you. I bought a 13.7 from them but was bent. Been waiting for almost a month (since I sent it back to them) to hear from them about when I can expect a replacement. Also went with the Griffin Armament mk2 lower since I can get it at a discounted rate.

I'm sorry you got a bent barrel. I've used Rosco barrels on my last two builds and I've been very happy with them. I'm planning to get a Griffin Armament MK 2 lower for my MK18 build.
Enjoyed all your videos man! You will certainly be missed!!! You were always one of my favorites to watch on KZread with anything pew pew!

I apologize.. my phone went to the next video and commented on it instead of the one I meant to!
as of today , this past year, i finally completed my Go To - Larue , 20 inch barrel, with Larue Lower upper, Griffin PSR7. took me a long time to build it. my next will be a Griffin MK2 lower shorty with a GP5.. those are my both go tos.. i have several others etc.. but these are my 2 .. i reload , and have fed my larue all kinds and it still preforms awesomly..

Large makes good stuff! I'm about ready to order a Griffin MK 2 lower for my next build.
My “go to” is very similar. BCM 14.5” with RC2 suppressor on Warcomp, EXPS3 and Vortex Micro 3x on Unity riser mounts, Arisaka 1 CR123 light body with Malkoff head, Geissele SSA trigger and Super 42 H2 buffer, K2 grip, BCM vert grip, BFG 2 point sling.

Nice set up especially the color scheme 😊!! I have a BCM Mk2 ELW 14.5” pin and weld suppressed with vortex razor II e 1-6x LPVO and Holosun RDS piggy back at 12 o’clock, and Arisaka light. Dang it’s a nice set up!

I have that same exact setup. Runs like a dream
Good stuff man. I like your custom build. The height of your optic is no different from the early 90s Delta operators who ran their red dots on top of the carry handle. You and I seem to be thinking on the same wave length. I too have been toying with the idea of building a MK18 at some point this year.

Bolts break no matter the brand once the round count gets up there and much sooner in these shorties we all love.

Thanks! Your build sounds like a sweet rifle!
Electronics used to be my hobby when i was a kid, now its been firearms, id build my own AR, but one reason i prefer guns to electronics is your money does not depreciate to nothing within a few years like electronics. If i built an AR, thats what it would be. No one would pay for a custom ar build some random person like me did, so i just got a ddm4v7 lw and a bcm recce 16 and a little aig m400 tread for ARs and ill stick to prebuilt.
@sawtoothtactical404

That's probably true, unless you build a really nice AR out of high quality parts, but either way, I'm not building one to sell them. You can't go wrong with Daniel Defense and BCM, though. Good choices!
Any military-style rifle is a good choice, but I agree that you can't cheap out on the important parts of a rifle. The BCG, gas system parts, and buffer components are the heart of an AR-15 rifle and shouldn't be cheaped out on. You don't need to spend $300 on a gucci BCG, but you need to have something quality that has mil-spec materials.

About 2,000.
So much of the “main squeeze” setup has to do with your surrounds and where you live. However no one should skimp on barrel, bcg and gas system.

I do setup most of my rifles pretty much the same way. Different optic setups, depending on barrel length and intended use, but other than that, a light on the right side with a pressure switch, vertical foregrip, good trigger, Radian safety and charging handle, etc... I want them all to feel basically the same and have everything in the same places when I pick them up.

@@sawtoothtactical404 That makes a lot of sense. I'm the same way. When you find something that's most effective and just works, there's no point in complicating things and reinventing the wheel.
