Being part of a community is important. While there are a lot of firearm channels on KZread, there are also many gun groups on Facebook. There are specific ones for specific types of guns that you might be into and some groups are definitely better than others. There is an entire online culture in these groups that is very entertaining, to say the least, but there is also lots of good information that can be learned from people that have tons of knowledge and experience. I get it. I started with a M&P 15 and a PSA and now I've built a rifle that I really love and can definitely feel the difference.
I thought you were going after Strictly Mid Tier AR. I pissed a few of them off when they gave one of my guns a pass then they realized I stuffed a PSA stripped lower with a lot of really nice parts

The FB group stuff is better than KZread. Being able to post pictures and prove helps weed out the bull sh!ters.

I’m not in mt6. But I am in MTS 3.0. And the knowledge I’ve gained is amazing. The group definitely pushed me in the direction of buying quality gear and actually using it. I also joined a sub group for my state and have gotten to meet some really cool dudes and will soon be going to matches with some of them. Aside from just the knowledge, the groups are definitely a good place to make some really high tier friends

I understand the pursuit of quality...but fb and groups on the internet ruined the joy of alot of ppl over their purchases...it was the same thing on mustang car groups...annyoing af...this sucks that sucks...this is entry level everything is entry level unless its top teir...then you pay thousands for top teir when middle of the road was the same or much better...I'm sick of chasing that dragon...I've been thru that merry go round of money too many times now

Yeah. You can't just listen to what everyone else says and you gotta take that stuff with a grain of salt. I used to own a 1967 Mustang Fastback and also a 2006 Mustang GT and I loved them both!

That's not really true. As you can see, I have guns that run the gamut from very budget to pretty nice and I've been getting information from all over the place for years. There's nothing wrong with being part of a community and learning things from like-minded people.

The people in the group you're talking about are the kind of people that think your opinion doesn't matter unless you have a $4,000 gun.. when in reality the guy with the $4,000 gun is probably the dumbest one out of them all If he thinks that because it's $4,000 that makes it the best That's not really how it works there's a point where there's a diminishing return and you're just spending money at that point
