It's coming together. I enjoy the build series vids - great to see what you chose for components and you explain them in great detail. I'm with you - it is incredibly rewarding to build one. I still cherish my first build from many years ago. I highly recommend an AR build - it's fun!

As a Mk18 owner, you may want to upgrade to the Radian Raptor SD, they get super gassy when running suppressed.

Yeah. I'm prepared for that. haha. My 14.5" is already pretty gassy with this can, so I'm sure this one will be even more so.

Offset magpul pro 45% irons work well for me . I've had nothing but good luck with strike industries sidewinder iron sights also.

🙌We got the same color Radian charging handle, mine is the SD version, 🤣I figured to go half FDE on a 'coco powder' handguard upper so I have that fifty shades of yellow to black. Unity magnifier mount can't fold down if you have the back iron. You could consider mounting the rear iron in front of the optic, as these are emergency backups anyway. Move the unity riser back a little for that. But even then, if you choose to run any laser, you'll have to get some spacing issues for the front sight. 😉I already gave you my MK18 build list on your first video. A big reason I went with the Aimpoint is: A. Aimpoint has way better battery life and prob more robust B. it has emergency irons in the unity mount itself; not only can I switch to that at any moment, but it also saves rail space for the front for the laser and back for the magnifier. That way, I can have laser and light in front of the handguard, then VFG and Axon button around the half-way

Eotech recommends that you run them around when the tip of the QD lever meet the brass deflector. So kind of directly on top of the ejection port. It works well since you would want your magnifier's eyepiece right at or one slot behind the charging handle. 🤣Other than that, again, you should figure out a flow-through or reduced-back-pressure can for that MK18. Having ejection moving from 4 o'clock to 2 o'clock on Super 42 H3 is no fun and definitely not optimal- undergassed unssuppressed, and still overgassed as soon as you suppress it. CAT WB is the best overall, and Flow556k is also good but loud if not in the open field. BT SRBS has killer deals at the moment: the 718 Incoenl version is like 1000 bucks picked up; I mean, if you don't want a big 556 can, an SRBS762 should still be very comfortable with your MK18(maybe even lower back pressure), and it also works with your AK, 308, and 300aac.😉

I appreciate all the good information. I'm going to have to get an aim point on a future build, as the EoTech already came in for this one. I'll be running the Polonium K for now, but depending how gassy it is, I might get a low backpressure can in the future.

Uh oh you installed a suppressor on video, KZread is going to cry. I miss the old days when gun channels could post whatever. I put my first AR together watching an instructional KZread video.

Yeah. I miss that, too. I'd love to be able to show ACTUAL building on the build series, but it is what it is. That's probably why this video got demonetized, but I can never tell what's going to demonetize a video anymore, so I kinda just do whatever, as long as I don't break a rule that'll get my channel taken down.

I’ve been focusing in a similar direction. Looking at more high quality and less quantity. It seems crazy spending what you can get an entire rifle for on just a stripped radian lower. I guess since the plan is to SBR it, the quality will pay off in the long run.

Thanks! This is the first Daniel Defense product I've ever gotten, but the MK18 is classic and I've always wanted one.

i have the Griffin MK2 build ready, B5 but stock, King fu grip, SSA trigger.. ready to role. I am waiting for my upper Supressor ready to come to go with my LaRue 12 inch barrel, gonna do a gp5 Griffin on it.. cant wait! u will enjoy the MK2 it is very nice built! and Griffin has dang good customer service.

That was my other choice. It was between that and the Griffin, but I just really like the controls on the ADM and I've already gotten used to them, so I am going with Griffin Armament for that reason.

It does look pretty good. I used the original Aero M4E1 lower on my .300 Blackout build and I've been perfectly happy with it, so ambi just makes it that much better. They sure are charging a lot for it, though.

Yes they are 200 doll hairs, it is a little cheeper than a lot of the other ambi lowers iv lookd into , but aero is all about great product at affordable prices for builders, so that price kinda made me mad, but i get it they do have great products in my experience.

I'm honestly glad they don't. I always want to put my own decisions into my lower, so then I'd just be relaxing things like triggers, safety selectors, etc...

Yes. That's exactly what I'm doing. I put ASR flash hiders and brakes on all of my 5.56 guns, so that I can put the Polonium K on any of them. You will need the SilencerCo Bravo ASR mount for the suppressor, though.

Is there any further update on this build yet?

I was planning to go with a BCM, but the one I wanted went out of stock, so I got a Microbest chrome with phosphate extractor.

Honestly there's no point in buying multiple same caliber suppressors. Just swap them on whichever gun u are running that day. My eyes I see a 30 cal can most beneficial. I can run it on aks and ars. Yea my ars would be a little quieter with a 556 can. but it help bleeding some of that back pressure running a 30 cal can on ars. Where it's not beating up my internals as fast and letting some of the games bleed forward instead of so much in my face

So 11.5 and 12.5 aren't for CQB? Only the 10.3? Interesting.
