    What are your thoughts on merchants who try to get you to confirm pickup before they'll hand you the order? I'm just curious. I won't confirm until I have it, and if they still refuse, I contact support and get my half pay.

    Problem for me is ive been literally stuck in idle mode for over a month and a half. For 3 years every single month ive been top dasher and 2 years ive been in the catering program. So one Sunday i got like 6 orders in 9 hours and they were all no tip and shop orders way way to another area. It took me dozens and dozens of calls to support and tech and everything but ive done ALL the trouble shooting and more including a hard reset on my android. Ive even tried logging in on my moms iPhone with the same results. So it is somewhere in my account. Ive had the escalated department supposedly tell me after a few days and them supposedly trying everything that they need to escalate it even further up to tech. Then ill get email saying look for app update over Next couple of days that should fix it. But it doesn't. Now because of this I didn't get 100 deliveries done for last month but I DIDN'T EVEN GET 100 DELIVERIES OFFERED TO ME. So it knocked me out of top dasher and the catering program as well. WHAT THE HELL CAN I DO TO FIX THIS IDLE MODE BULLSHIT?? WOULD I BE BETTER OFF JUST DELETING MY ACCOUNT COMPLETELY AND RESTARTING AS A NEW DASHER?? SHOULD I SUE THEM?!??. ANY HELP AT ALL WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED 👍👍..

    I wish they let you tip after deliveries, i just had a really great dasher who deserves to be put on like a "great dasher list" so i can find more like him. Id pay more for it because theres nothing like having a great dasher than a new 1 who thinks its okay to open sealed bags and not tell you about it. I thought id never see the day. Also love the advice, i love using door dash and wanted to make sure my dashers are getting appreciated and treated fairly *Edit* just found out i can add additional tip through the app by contancting support, it was very quick, so if anyabody wants to add tips for great dashers here you go! 🤣 GrubHub has been watching my videos for years and the only people they’re punishing are the fools who are so naive to chase Pro and Premier status. 🤷‍♂️😂🤣 Use some common sense and logic here. If “cherry pickers” aka TRUE Independent Contractors aren’t willing to deliver trash offers, who does that leave to deliver their garbage???? Premier and Pro sheeple!!! Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. I still make mine efficiently as possible, regardless!

    @@True59 I’ve given up on GrubHub and quit scheduling blocks with them a long time ago. I take only $7+ offers off block that are close. There’s too many gig apps and good job opportunities to allow these tech companies the ability to use and abuse. @@True59 we just have a lazy society that wants to ride around in their vehicles all day, instead of getting one of the many good paying jobs out there. Most gig workers don’t have the freedom and flexibility they claim they do. Heck, Walmart leads make $20-$23/hr now and that’s more than the majority of gig workers are making after expenses and deductions. Not to mention full benefits on top of the consistent pay!!! That’s just one example of many opportunities out there right now because so many people choose gig work. For parents that would be paying absurd childcare, it makes a lot of sense but they’re sacrificing quality time with their kids when they get manipulated into accepting all this garbage and grind away 50-60 hours per week.

  • @CharitysClarity

    It’s absurd with the cost of fuel, maintenance, etc. At night I’m not going to certain areas like you said! I want to know where I’m going I almost got assaulted because of this they sent me to the middle of no where an a creepy drunk young man was trying to get me to stay it was horrible and it’s not right door dash hides this! I know they do for a fact they had me go somewhere that WAS not the same place I zoomed in on the app it was way way further out when I got to that area.. I would have unassigned if I knew an the tip was great up front still no way then this person sent me a creep message and acted like I was late and gave me a bad review ! No one should lose money on any of these jobs an because they hide info is wrong the gambling mindset is wrong and they should not take order for less then a certain amount everywhere an I mean everywhere has minimums! Because they don’t they are going to end up without many people just wait costs of repairs are way way to much now things are changing. They will get very low quality deliverers good luck to them because people don’t wanna use this app due to the creeps they have working one guy was high as a kite on meth of some sort that delivered to a friend of mine, these people are a problem they take the $2 orders to get their next fix.. I’m sure of it, this is a side gig for me an it’s been wonderful but I’m telling you being in New York DD is LYING about the tips! I’ve had several people tell me they have more an one showed me their phone! I lost $11 that I saw with my own eyes! It’s wrong that I can’t reject orders we’re suppose to be allowed and I think we should be able to sue! This is NOT what independent contract work at WILL is at all! Let me know if I can help I’m furious! It’s so very busy with promo after I get nothing for decline $3 -$5 miles away as a women at night in bad areas .. absurd. You know what your paying for don’t order on it if you can’t afford it this is wrong but it won’t change if we don’t all band together an one day all decline low offers in our area form strikes sort of. Sending me after someone’s waited for their food and it’s close, I go above an beyond all 5 star reviews so far at 259 orders so far and yet they still treat us poorly I refuse to go near cities now an pause until I’m away from them; but dd forced me to not feel safe delivering at night as a women because I can’t know where I am going. I am not going to an area when they have gang shooting happening an searching for who’s doing it in that area! I should not be penalized none of us should and NONE of us should be thrown around like this. This man who’s your guest is incredible he is so wonderful to have at the head of this because he knows how to articulate exactly what is crucial to us financially, safety, and has a wonderful ability to connect to how unfair it is to be penalized.

    The other rediculus thing is, delivered on time. I continue to have a 94 % . I take the order, drive to the restaurant imidendly, pick up the order, (no wait at the places I go to), drive to the customer imidendly. Unless you stuck at the restaurant or in traffic for awhile, which I'm not, you are perhaps late!! I should have 100 % rating for on time. The customer can track it on their phone that I'm driving straight to them! I think these ratings are completely made up to make us doordash drivers feel bad. They certainly don't pay us enough to have to deal with their BS!!!

  • @Coyoteyiphowl
    @Coyoteyiphowl Жыл бұрын

    All rediculus!!! I shouldn't have to do anything, but, deliver on time with hot food, follow customer directions, and being friendly, period! Customers should not be allowed to give ratings based on if I text them or other minor things! They can follow on their phone where the order is and if delivered. I always ring the bell or knock, unless otherwise stated. I'm always friendly and do my job properly, yet, I have 3, 2 stars rating and three one star for absolutely no reasons!! Customers should only be allowed to rate negative, if there was a big problem with their food. Like, it was spilled by the dasher and not reported or opened, half eaten...

    The majority aren’t making that kind of money though and DD is violating that same TOS by tampering with the info they receive from customers and preventing Dashers from making informed decisions to make a profit. @@laroyrichardson absolutely! In my area I see very few large orders, but get pulled from here to the busier areas at least once a week. I had two last night that where nowhere near me, but I accepted knowing they were $100+ subtotal based on the merchant and items. If I wanted to get more of those, I would work over in those busier areas. I’ve also got some sweet catering offers lately that were $200-$400 of food that were nowhere near me. One paid $79. The Az market isn’t a high earnings market, because our wages don’t match the increased cost of living and tips are pretty low on average. People have to be smart or grind to make $1000/week here.
