DoorDash Early Access Scheduling| Acceptance Rating Requirement Added

DoorDash has sent emails to Dashers in certain markets, announcing an immediate change to the Early Access Scheduling requirements. In August they updated to the current model, and now have added an acceptance rating requirement of at least 60%. The other requirements of a 95% Completion Rating, and at least a 4.6 Customer Rating stay the same. As well as the 500 lifetime delivery requirement. Just like the "Top Dasher" changes to requirements, these changes will be effective in all markets soon!! For those who have not received the email yet, start planning ahead. This update by DoorDash helps them manipulate an employee relationship, while having Dashers classified as Independent Contractors. Make smart business choices, and DO NOT let DoorDash tap into your fear, to force you into bad decision making. Be a True Independent Contractor, and WORK SMARTER!!!!! It may be time to sign up for other gig apps, like Shipt, Uber, Lyft, GrubHub, and Amazon Flex to name a few. This will allow you to keep making money, no matter what each individual company is trying to do. If you need more help, don't hesitate to reach out or join my exclusive community of Gig Workers. Btw, if DD wants to go down this road, and have some result, at least show us the real amount, don't hide the tip.

I’m going back to a traditional job. Been dealing with this crap for 4 years now. Here in Fresno, CA they are idling us more and it seems to be capping us once we hit around $15hr. That might seem like ok pay but it’s not. Gas is $3+ a gallon and not to mention taxes and wear and tear. No profit. They are throwing bonuses out so people will take those crappy orders too.

GrubHub is enforcing looooong time-outs now, and if your AR is lower than 50% (that's my guess, but it feels like it) all they do is they keep sending you bottom garbage offers. I used to complete 15-20 deliveries daily, having 6-8 hours in blocks, that number is now 5-10. I keep rejecting all the garbage, the ones that are plain insulting ($3-5) I simply wait until it times out, that way both GH and non-tipping bastards suffer. Without multi-app this gig would be history.

Unless someone is in a great market I don’t see how this is sustainable. They are taking advantage of people.

I have talked to 6 or 7 dashers over the last few nights, I was in Roswell NM dashing and the 3 I asked down there all had 90% and up one guy had a 100% , I turned down a $3 Whataburger and got a 7.50 offer for whataburger like 3 seconds after I turned that trash down, When I arrived at the Whataburger I see this guy in a DD shirt and DD bag going in (Roswell is small enough to assume he was taking the order I turned down) The shirt alone confirmed to me he takes everything. I have 41% rating. Disappoints me to see so many people taking this garbage. When I was dashing Albuquerque it was the same " Hey man mind if I ask what your acceptance rating is?" All 90% and above and they all said the same thing.. "i dont want to loose my dash now status... Suckers man! They are making it harder on everyone and just aiding DD in their shady ways!

So, I just went over 500 orders and my driver rating is good (4.6), but my acceptance rate hovers around 30% because I don't take time/fuel wasting orders. Oh well, I only dash in the evenings after my regular full-time job, so I guess I don't need to care about this.

Well I'm not staying up til midnight to try n get blocks. And I am definitely not chasing a ton of garbage orders to get to 60% acceptance rate. so unless they change things I am done for now.

I have noticed that if I take a lowball offer to start my shift, I usually see bigger offers the rest of my dash. For instance, I took a 5 dollar delivery to start my dash and every offer after was $10+ with miles being reasonable. Not sure if behind the scenes they are doing this on purpose? But this has happened to me 3 times this week dashing in Kierland area of Phoenix. I made about 20 per hour during these shifts as of now. Luck? idk

After just 188 deliveries w/DD, I have had no problem finding a full time job paying above 15/hr. (1 in Jan, 1 in Feb) instead of doing gig work. My ratings are actually great, I've steadily made more money each week working no more than 23 hrs per week. I just took a job offering me benes tho I may still DD p/t 20 hrs per week.

I don’t need EA or TD. If I want to dash, I just run my makeshift “dash auto-acceptor app”. I use Bluestacks’ macro recorder feature to record myself picking up a dash, and then refreshing the app. I set it to run a 5x recorded speed, and to run in an infinite loop. I then uncheck every starting point box except the zone I want to work in, then run the script. As soon as a dash opens up, the program immediately grabs it, before anyone else can. I don’t have to spend hours stalking the app and refreshing the screen, only to have someone else get the shift just because they have faster fingers. I’ve simply automated the process. As Jake always says, “Work smarter, not harder.” 🤣🤣🤣

I'm SO GLAD I found your videos! I am new to DD (first week, while still working my full time job), but once I began rejecting the $3 offers, now I see $9-$12 offers, consitently!

Hey coach, 2 weeks in but learning as I go applying your DD gospel. Is that "glitch in the matrix" still relevant concerning scheduling 30min - 1 hr short blocks in order to receive more volume in orders? I came across one of your videos saying it and not exposing because of DD staff watching KZread on how to counter these types of moves. Thank you!

$3 grocery order for 14 items sounds like slavery! Doordash needs to leave grocery orders to the professionals over at Instacart!
