DoorDash Dasher| How To Check 1099 For Mistakes

It's tax time, and all of you should have received your 1099's by now. Does it match up with the earnings you have record of, IF you even kept good records that is? There's some reasons as to why your records might not match up with the company that sent in your 1099. For example, the Gig Company DoorDash bases theirs on when they deposited earnings into your account, NOT the actual date worked. This can create a lot of confusion and discrepancies, IF you're not tracking as they are. The information as to how they report earnings on the 1099 for each year, go to their website(link below). There's also a chance that the company reporting your earnings, might be fraudulently reporting a higher amount, BUT you better have good record and proof to back this up before barking up that tree!! In this video, I share the simple steps you need to take to get your 1099 corrected, and resubmitted to the IRS. That way whatever you report to the IRS matches what the company sends in. This will prevent any emails from the IRS stating that you owe more money, in the near future. Doordash said I made $700 more than I did on my 1099!!! I double checked my deposits and what doordash claimed to have deposited on my app and my God, thanks for this video wasn't sure how going to get this fixed without contacting the I.R.S.

What if the the name in the recipient name box in the 1099 is spelled incorrectly?
Last year I waited till the very end of tax season to file and I recieved an amendment from DD, saved me a headache.

Hey sir. I made only $150 last year doing Door Dash. I never received a 1099. Does this mean I don't have to account for this on my taxes? Or do I need to download something from the driver app?

IRS website says, "at least $600" so it looks like you don't need to worry. Please do consult a tax specialist or check the IRS website yourself before anything.

That’s new. We alll got it. A dasher made the news a few days ago for being at someone’s door making a delivery and got caught on a door camera with his hand in his pants while the food in the other hand. He got deactivated and now we all got this new rating

Haha yep I noticed it yesterday and took necessary screenshots for a video I’ll be shooting this afternoon. Replied to a lot of emails yesterday, regarding this new addition they quietly added.

This has actually been in the works before that incident. There’s been too many incidents and reports, with their massive growth in many markets. They want to keep customers, and know there’s plenty of desperate people to sign up. Uber and Lyft have already proven this, and provided these companies the necessary data.
