Thanks for the ideas! But the pastry used is Arabic. I never knew its the same used there!
Woww
Very informative! Thanks and greetings from Houston TX! 😎🎉
Thank you🌹
This is amazing! Thank you for sharing the recipe and how to create a unique design with different molds.
Thank you so much 🌹
Wow! Those are beautiful! I always wondered how they got the design on top. How deep did you press the knife to make markings? I live close to St Louis, which has the largest Bosnian population, and we have some great restaurants.
Thank you so much. I first tried to press it with a wooden stick. It didn't leave any markings, or they quickly disappeared. I pressed halfway through the bread. I have a lot of Serbian friends. It's a big community here in Arizona, too. Their culture is probably the closest to Russian. The food is amazing!
Got to know about this dish from Uncle Roger. Looks so delicious
I love Uzbekistan 🇺🇿 food so delicious ❤
I agree 👍 💯 🌹
Love that song, the meal looks yummy❤😊
Thank you🌹
I've never made it with mushrooms. Looks good😊
Serendipity 😁Thank you. I had to use mushrooms somewhere. They went into spinach. From now on, I am making it this way🌹
Hi Natassja! That cake looks delicious. My husband watched this episode with me and said, "That looks really good!" I love texture of semolina desserts of Eastern Europe/Middle East and the cornmeal desserts of the Caribbean ❤😊
Thank you. The texture of the semolina cake is quite different. I like it too.🌹😊
Excellent recipe, thank you!
Thank you 🌹
Healthy food with unhealthy items butter and sugar😊
Great video! I’m going to try the chocolate..I usually only make them the traditional way with anise.
Thank you! Chocolate tastes good! 😋 You can sandwich them together with Hazelnut spread. My kids love it!😁🌹
Awesome recipe! I changed a little for my preferences: Heated the chopped garlic in the avocado oil to cook it, took it off the hear and mixed in the chopped dill then poured over the bread. I can't eat raw garlic find it too strong.
Great idea! Thank you for sharing! 🌹😊
Thanks for the tree nut allergy warning, that's really important to know!!
😊🌹
Made this soup the other day and my family and I loved it, it was amazing. My parents are Russian but grew up in North of China. Thank you for sharing ❤🇦🇺
It is a very flavorful soup! Thank you for your comment 🌹😊
I love this!! I made something similar with shredded zucchini and I added Indian curry leaves because I live the smell of them.
Thank you.🌹 I must try your recipe.
What can I use instead of the sour cream?
You can skip it.
Those are not white cherries. White cherries are pale yellow. This is a hybrid between white and red cherries.
I was with you until catsup.
Thanks a lot for conveying your knowledge! I have a new favourite meal. I love how versatil it is.
This soup looks delicious! I just made chicken stock but I need the chicken for enchiladas, haha. I could just buy a couple more chicken breasts to make the dumplings. I have been using Vegeta for years! I learned about it from my Bosnian co-workers.
Thank you so much, Laura 🌹Believe it or not, I learned about Vegeta from my Serbian friends, and my Egyptian friends also use it👍😁
Buckwheat and cottage cheese is my second favorite food after fast food. A great way to start eating more healthy!
Thank you very much happy nice day
Thank you 🌹
When I was a kid my dad always gave me the bone marrow as a treat, I was lucky, he let me have all of it - I can taste it now 🤣 even though that’s been (many) decades ago. And we were in Canada, so not strictly a European thing. I just made borscht a couple of weeks ago - after watching this video I know next time it will be even better. TY
Great story 👏 Thank you for sharing. When I was a kid, I didn't like it. Only now I can appreciate the taste. Back then, I preferred the core from the cabbage 😁 my grandmother would put a little salt on it and let me eat it.
Delicious! Thank you for sharing this recipe.
Hola!!! Soy de la de Ciudad de México y me gustaría conocer más recetas. Saludos!!!!
I don’t like plain tomatoes. Can I substitute something else?
I don't like them either. For this diet and the soup, it is a necessary ingredient if you want to follow it and get results.
Wouuuu thank you I’m going to make this❤️
There was not potatoes in 9th century Hungary !
The dish itself originated in the 9th century. Modifications to it were made in the modern world, based on the ingredients available and popular. 😊
I really like your narration and stories as you cook. Very good! I want to make this. When i was in Russia this turned out to be my favorite dish. I couldn't get enough!
Thank you. 🌹 That was my Dad's favorite dish, too.
Курка тупа, БОРЩ - це UKRAINIAN!!!! NOT RUSSIAN!
no tomatoes?
Hello 👋 Not for red shurpa. Red c9lor is achieved by adding paprika. In the original recipe of Shurpa, tomatoes are used.
@@NastassjaCanCook paprika is used in normal shurpa too. Tomatoes are required for sourness to balance the sweetness of the other vegetables. Shurpa is well known as a balanced soup from the taste point of view.
I see this is an older video, but I will see if I get an answer, Can I do everything like you did, but instead of the chocolate can I just put the fruit, I like the way you wrap your dough./Thank You.
Yes, absolutely. You could use any dried fruit or poppy seed spread. It will all be delicious. 🌹😊
@@NastassjaCanCook Thank You very much
This looks delicious...can you give the NON-metric measurements?
Absolutely love Solyanka but I can’t help wonder just how much time the average Russian peasant had to make this on a daily basis 😂 Love from India 🇮🇳
plz mention ingredients in comments, looks yummy,
Please look in a " description " box for the list of ingredients. Thank you.
plz mention ingredints in comments
Hello 👋 All the ingredients and instructions are listed in a " description " box. Thank you 🌹
Muito bom Seu cuidado para fazer a receita é incrível Parabéns!
I used Concord Grape and Tart Cherry - adding a couple more Tbsp of sugar..... OMG! Soooo delicious. I used a different recipe two days ago and they were AWFUL! This makes the CREAMIEST meringue and I cannot wait to see how they are after an overnight sit. I am beyond happy with just the taste and texture...how could they possibly go wrong overnight!? Thank you!!
Thank you so much for your feedback. I usually let them sit for 4-5 hours for softer consistency. Overnight will make them a little bit denser.
I can’t wait to make this recipe
Can you do tutorial making Mansaf please
I can certainly try. Thanks for the idea 👍🌹
Don't you soak it overnight for better absorption of the nutritions in it ? Because every grain has anti nutritions which get removed after soaking.
No, not in this recipe, if you want fluffier buckwheat.
Very informative and helpful. Thanks for providing!
Thank you ❤
Mine came out dry and bland.
Don't know why...🤔
@@NastassjaCanCook 500grams of flour seemed like a lot.
Hello, did you use curly parsley or Italian parsley? Can I make the night before?
Hello, curly looks better in this salad. Yes, you can make it the night before 🌹
@@NastassjaCanCook thank you so much for answering my questions I have a few more. How long does it last in the refrigerator before the tomatoes and cucumbers stomach go soft? can this be served room temperature or served outdoors for a long period of time?
I might try this with venison instead of beef, although I might just use beef stock since my venison isn’t very fatty.
This dish looks so good!! I think I like the creamy sauce better than the usual tomato based sauce.
Thank you so much, Laura. Yes, I agree. Certainly less acidic. 😊🌹
Thank you for sharing this recipe, it was really good. Best of all, very healthy. I actually feel very good after having a bowl. 🙂
Thank you. 🌹It is a lighter version of traditional Borscht.
