Napoleon Cake Trifle with Cream Patisserie and Fresh Raspberries!

Trifle is a layered dessert of English origin. It s pretty much a deconstructed cake that you can simply scoop out. Trifle cakes are very popular during Holidays season for their simplicity and convince.
NAPOLEON CAKE TRIFLE
For the cake squares, you will need 350g-400g puff pastry sheets, cut into 1 inch squares and baked at 400°F (200°C) for 10-13 minutes, or until golden brown. allow your pastry to cook before assemble of a Trifle.
For Patisserie Cream:
You will need:
VANILLA CUSTARD
♥ 7 egg yolks
♥ 1 cup (8oz) sugar
♥ 3 tbps plain flour (60g)
♥ 500 ml (16oz) milk
2 tsp Vanilla Extract
Also 225 g soften unsalted butter whipped at low speed until light in color.
Add gradually your Vanilla Custard to whipped butter and whisk on low speed until combined.
Assemble Trifle.
Divide your puff pastry , depending on the amount of layers you are building.
Build your layers as it is shown in the video. Choose any berries you like.
you can choose different ones in each layer. For example: blueberries and raspberries. Use your Imagination!
Top layer is decorated with whipped cream!

    This dessert is just beautiful! I like the idea of using puff pastry rather than pound cake.

    Thank you so much. Yes, you get different textures because puff pastry is much crunchier than pound cake. This Trifle tastes just like Napoleon Cake. 😊
