Finding Our Someday

Finding Our Someday

Thanks for visiting Finding Our Someday! We are Corey and Jessie, and we sold our home in Maine and almost everything we own (ok, ok...there are a few bins in Jess' mother's garage!) and moved into our Grand Design Reflection 28bhts with our girls, Lily and Leila, to travel for a while and find a new place to call home. That was the original plan, but we are loving traveling so much, who knows?

Our family took this leap after Jess' father passed away in 2014 after a long fight with ALS, Lou Gehrig's, at just 53. He didn't get his "someday", so we decided not to wait to find ours.

What are you wishing you could do in life? Are you stuck in the rut of normalcy and want to make a change? Let us help you take that step to pursue the extraordinary life you were meant to live.

What's your SOMEDAY?

Vacation hunt and live silently. You people are ruining the beauty and nature of every single thing that was once a relaxing and peaceful experience. Get a real job and actually give back to society instead of taking away.

Interesting, and I really do think Elon Musk must have watched the Jetsons too. While watching this video I couldn't stop thinking about the survivability rate of this electric vehicle/truck in an accident - that's a lot of glass!

A refrigerator on wheels😬 while hooked to your trailer, does the truck have a trailer braking mode (setting) and a similar GM Stabilitrak system🤔 Just think, all wheel steering while backing your camper into a site 😳😎 Truck side view mirrors should be able to slide out more, so you can see 'down" the side of your camper 🤔

Hate is a strong word. The truck is ugly. But if that's what you like, buy it. It's your money. I agree with all your comments. It's not bad for around town or even travel if you factor in the charging time. But towing a heavy trailer, it's not their yet. So for that reason, I'm out. I love my diesel Chevy and the ability to quickly pull into a truck stop, fill up and hit the road. You would have to find me somewhere to park your trailer and disconnect so that you could charge on the road.

Lovely but sad. I'm sure it was enjoyed by local tribes before they were forced on to reservations.

The mirrors are too small for towing. Range is too short. Charge stations mostly don't accommodate a truck and trailer connected. The bed is awkward to load, too tall in the back. Tonneau covers are having issues closing. $100k to be a first addopter? No thanks. But I do appreciate your thoughts on it, maybe when the batteries are improved? Who knows?

This video brought to you by Tesla. The reason the Cybertruck has 4 wheel steer is because without it you wouldn't be able to turn in a normal parking lot. And it isn't like the Cybertruck can turn inside the radius of a normal truck, it may be slightly better, but put a Sierra or F150 in the same parking lot and measure the size of the circle, it isn't a whole lot better. 19 miles of driving and 46 miles of range blows. Trucks don't have 100 mile ranges, and filling them up doesn't take a more than a 5 minutes. The Cybertruck price is failing fast. People that thought they were going to use them for truck things are finding out quick that it makes a poor pickup. The main thing you hear about it is how fast it is, but when someone buys a normal pickup they are not comparing quarter mile ETs, they want to know how much it can tow, how much it can haul, and other normal stats, not it's acceleration on drag strip.

I think it could work if you're bouncing around locally. We live on the East Coast, so if you keep it within that 150-mile range, you'd be okay. I also wouldn't pull our RV with it, something lighter like a Airstream Base Camp, or something in the Jayco 172 size, GeoPro, etc might work.

The truck is....unique. 😉 I've grazed several trees with my DJI Mini 2, including in the Yukon last summer. It actually fell from quite a distance, but I recovered it, and it worked perfectly. They're remarkably durable.

I would like more information on how that cyber track does with towing trailer on hills & mountains. I just cant see it towing anything thru the rocky mountains. I agree, i think around town it would be fine. But in areas of our country that some towns are 100's of miles apart or if you live in rural, back country, you'd have to find a charging station before you could turn around & go home. As well as how the batteries don't do well in cold & extreme heat. More research and refinement needs to be made, as well as the cost needs to come down before most people would buy! But, thanks for your fun video. Beautiful photography!

TFL did a comparison with a cyber truck towing a heavy travel trailer against a diesel towing the same. Cyber truck 78 miles before dead and $35 to recharge. The diesel could triple the range and cost $27 to fill up.

That's just way cool, but not very practical for full time RVing, like you said. I was impressed with how much cargo space it had. From the outside it doesn't look like it would hold much. Thanks for the FOS review!

  • @MrSocrates69
    @MrSocrates693 күн бұрын

The guys over at TFL trucks did a world toughest tow test with a. Cyber truck. Cyber isn't what it needs to be and after some research. We need to push for a hydrogen powered truck. Better power, torque, mileage and the only thing that comes out the tailpipe is water. But that probably never gonna happen with consumer truck. Big rigs maybe.

I have seen extensive reviews on this electric "tuna can" and must admit that it is quite versatile. My only complaint is the same as yours. Who wants to take that long a break to recharge when you have a travel day and 600 miles to cover?
