You guys, we have been looking forward to sharing this video for a while! We hope that the video truly expresses just how amazing this adventure was for our family, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we did creating it!
We left Nathan and Marissa from Less Junk, More Journey at Craters of the Moon and headed down 93, the Salmon River Scenic Byway, to Elk Bend RV Park in Elk Bend, Idaho. We made this stop because we had heard about this amazing hike up to a hot springs in the valley between two mountains.
We got up early to try to beat the crowds up to Gold Bug Hot Springs. There were a lot of cars in the parking lot, but we found out later that they were all campers staying along the trail. We parked at 7:15AM, and when we got up to the springs, we had the whole place to ourselves…like for HOURS!
Jess was especially excited to enjoy the last of our apple fritters that we made at Hurt’s Donuts! If you missed that episode, you can check it out here: • DISCLAIMER | SHE DIDN’...
WARNING: Before you and your family head to any hot springs, be sure to look up reviews to see if it is "clothing optional” or not. Many hot springs that we have traveled by have had really intense reviews regarding this topic, so just be aware and do your research!
All of the pools have varying temperatures, so it is easy to find one that suits you and is so nice to move around if you get too hot or too cold. We do recommend bringing water shoes as the rocks are hard on your feet!
We thought we would walk down with our stuff and check out the waterfalls below, but we had no idea the magic that was awaiting us! Behind the waterfall was a cave with a natural made hot-tub! We had to keep pinching ourselves because the whole experience felt like a dream.
There are many moments over the last 6 years where we have looked at each other and said, “This is why we chose this life.” Sitting in that pool, in a cave, under a waterfall was the moment that has topped them all. Don’t wait to start living your life. It may not look anything like what we are doing, but take the leap and find YOUR Someday right now. You will NEVER regret it.
Stay tuned for next week as we head to surprise the girls’ friends in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho! Be sure to like and subscribe and click on the bell icon for notifications when we release new videos!
Don’t wait to live your life, find your 🔆SOMEDAY🔆 now!

I enjoyed the video, I live in Idaho and my son has a cabin on the Salmon River between Stanley and Challis. Several hot springs in the Stanley area.... and no, I have never seen anyone naked at any of them. Glad you like Idaho, it is a beautiful place.

Goldbug is a true A+ hot springs. The best "free in the wilderness" hot springs there is. Goldbug has so really hot pools, like way to hot. The main pool, is so perfect, hot springs natural water fall, so relaxing. Nice you guys had it to yourselves.

Idaho. On our west coast trip my bride said she wanted to go thru Idaho. My response was, and I quote. " Who wants to go thru Idaho, it is just flat land and a bunch of potatoes". Boy was I wrong again. After watching several full time RV's videos there. This has become one for our bucket list items. I am only 2 minutes into the video. Salmon is my hometown. Challis is my grandmother's and my parents grew up in Leadore. I've been to Challis Hot Springs and some on the river but never made the climb to Gold Bug even though I worked in Elk Bend for the water company. So many hot springs in Idaho. There are several along the river that only locals know. I've been in one on the river below Corn Creek while on a jet boat trip down river. My family's ranch in Leadore has a warm springs that was lined with wood back in the 40s, then mudded in over the years until my cousin installed an in ground pool on the ranch. It was a local bathing hole in the 40s - 50s but it's private now. My husband was an EMT while we lived in Salmon. He carried two patients down from that warm springs - not an easy task. One was a young girl who didn't bring food and water and the other was an older man suffering a heart episode. Thanks for the close up view.

Excellent video and splendid photography! Well done! The videos of the canyon were excellent. May I recommend that when you are in New Mexico again, take the road from Española to Taos up the Rio Grande Gorge? The views are stunning when you get up on the Taos Plateau and can see the gorge cutting across the sage brush flatland with the Taos Range of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in the background. You and Lilly both looked great in those sunglasses. You should buy her a pair. Safe travels, y'all.
