‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣ THIS EPISODE ‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣
This week we made a sad departure from our incredible site (#127 for those of you who asked) in Anastasia State Park. If you missed our moonrise, sunrise and almost 8 mile beach hike from last episode, you can catch that here: • HARD TO GET RESERVATIO...
We headed across the center of Florida to a new RV park that we were excited to check out for the first time: Champions Run in Ocala, the Horse Capital of the World. They invited us to stay for a few days, and we were thrilled to learn that some of our friends were there as well!
RVing with friends, epecially friends who love to cook, is seriously the best! Just be careful though, because you might gain a few pounds! We had group breakfasts, dinners and movie nights. Our new projector with an outdoor screen is one of our favorite additions to the RV. We wish we had bought one a long time ago!
We originally planned to scuba dive in Devil’s Den while staying in Ocala, but the freezing cold temperatures caused us to change directions. Yes, we know…we’re pathetic! We went with Plan B and headed to a Florida spring that we had never visited before. And like the others, this one has a really fun history!
Stay tuned for next week as we share our first time ever visiting Fort Wilderness and some fun things to do at Disney for free! Be sure to like and subscribe and click on the bell icon for notifications when we release new videos!
Don’t wait to live your life, find your 🔆SOMEDAY🔆 now!

Have you visited itchetucknee? You can float down a natural lazy river and they also have the main springs you can swim in as well. Definitely worth a visit but go in the off season so before Memorial Day.

LOVED the excerpt from Galaxy Quest!! Lily's reenactment of Cory was hysterical! Really enjoyed this episode, but that's normal - you guys always have the best episodes! A lot of wisdom, too.

My parents took my sister and I to Silver Springs in the mid to late sixties. They still had glass bottom boats operating. Even though it's been close to sixty years since we went it's still a vivid memory...

The glass bottom boats are still there! All the other attractions are gone though like the jeep ride
We love when we can camp with other families. We’ve had a group of 6-8 families that we started doing Halloween at Margaritaville. Growing up in Florida in the 60s & 70s, I remember going to Rainbow Springs, also Six Gun Territory, Cypress Gardens and many others. This was all before Disney came to Florida.

Capturing a place and experience is definitely a lot of work and it makes editing easier if we can film in a way that flows for the episode so sometimes we have to redo something! She absolutely nailed being me! 😂

Our favorite is Ginnie Springs. We used to scuba dive in all the Florida springs...totally awesome. We now have a home base here in Ocala which makes it easy to get anywhere. We usually take our RV out for several months at a time throughout the year. Thanks for the bit of history of Rainbow Springs, never knew some of that info.

Pronounced OCALla, like CALifornia. Lived there 13 years n 70’s-80’s. 😊 Used to put our Red Canoe in Rainbow river and go upstream to ride the Spring bubbles. 😊

Florida has so many good things for living year-round. Florida also has many bugs and hurricanes. Luckily you can hookup and run (if you know where the hurricane path will be). Having more long-term and overnight parking areas as we tend to travel and need only short term parking. The more isolated the parks can make sites the better you can have the privacy. Love the screens connected to awnings. You need that in Florida.
I went on a bike tour with Bike Florida one year when there was about 1500 of us for a week camping. About 500 mies I think... and the theme was "Spring to Spring". I never saw the Ocean(s). It was great (being I was Canadian).

Floridians say if you don’t like the weather just wait a couple of hours. We can have 3 seasons in one day.
@FindingOurSomeday

We definitely got to see that during that week! We were sitting around fires together with winter coats, hats, gloves, and blankets then at the pool the next day! 😂
You are about 1 & 1/2 hours away from my house. I have canoed and kayaked that river soooo many times. The water is awesome especially in Summer. Wish we could have met. You are probably long gone by now, i guess. You can put your boats into the water from a park a few mile(s) downstream, paddle upstream to the springs, swim, lay in the sun then go back to the park so no transporting your boat to the water. Did you not swim at rainbow springs??? You are from Maine and think 72° water is too cold??? Omg i love it. (NH person). You swam in juniper springs!! Glad you enjoyed the park, at least.
@FindingOurSomeday
Жыл бұрын
We definitely want to get the kayaks in next time and it is good to know that we can put in down the river instead of bring ours from the parking lot! And we don't think 72* is cold unless it is freezing that day! It was about 50* when we were there walking around and we canceled our Devils Den tour because it was 36* with the wind chill and that just isn't fun in Maine or Florida!😂 Thanks for watching and always being here with us, Bev!
Just found your channel! We have started our RV adventures this year with a new Toy Hauler for our Harleys! Your girls are hilarious, love the montage of her interpreting Dad getting the shot! Thanks for sharing . See you on the road! Bonnie & Pete 🇨🇦

You guys are fun! You picked a great place to go nice trails. Devel's hole is really cool never seen anything like it. But that's it just a hole in the ground with steeps going down to a dock you can swim off of. Really cool cave you can look in from the top before you go down but not much to it.
So, that’s how videos are made. That imitation was hilarious 😂 😂😂! Great food too, yum.

Have you been to blue springs state park? In the winter it is a manatee sanctuary. The day we were there it was amazing. I have never seen so many in one place. Go when it is cold out to see the most.
I so enjoyed your video it seems to have filled my soul with hope. I’m probably your latest follower! I’ve been living in the United Kingdom and Europe for a very long time now battling cancer and other medical problems. It’s taken me three years to research my ideal life and it’s definitely going to be an RV for the two of us plus our dog. If it’s possible we might be able to buy a home in New England hopefully with some land and invite friends to park up with their RVS or even leave them for safety and take a break or get the servicing and repairs done. It’s a big ask but I’m determined after virtually 20 years plus of cancer and being immunosuppressed to do this. As I tell people who have similar ambitions we’ve gained some investors and it’s opening up the possibilities to do something phenomenal & offer some help to others. My dream is coming true so thank goodness I have an American passport. I’m on my way to really enjoy the remainder of life as I dream about 😊👏🕊️♥️💫

First time watching you. Nicely done. We are f timers, no s/b, recently bought a rv lot in a Florida community in order to have a winter home base. The need to recharge is very important. We take trips from our home base, but are at ease knowing where we are returning to. It is important for kids/adults of all ages have a familiar recharge/reset place to go to. You are spot on about central Florida and the beauty it has. Safe travels!
We visited Rainbow Springs State Park in early February and fell in love with it! We met one of the couples who volunteer there and learned so much from them. Their passion for helping maintain this park they love so much for all of us was awesome. Love your videos and a big thank you to the four of you for sharing so much with us.
We are part time and go every month but we also love coming back home to reset and be with family.
We use to go to Silver Springs and Juniper Springs every year when our grandparents spent their winters in Florida.
My favorite Springs is Bed Springs: I spend a lot of time there, just lying around. Incidentally, if you folks ever decide to put down roots someplace, consider building your own RV park, perhaps like the one in this video. From your experience you know what a good park should be and I imagine you could arrange financing without too many hassles. These RV parks are goldmines.
