‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣ THIS EPISODE ‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣
We didn’t want to do a poop episode but here we are. 💩
After our most epic hike maybe ever to the magical secret cave behind the waterfall (if you missed it, check it out here: • WARNING ABOUT HOT SPRI... ), our next stop was all about the girls!
We decided to head to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, a few days earlier than planned to surprise their friends! We have mentioned a few times that in the full-time RV life, sometimes people are the destination and it is important to make plans around your kids' friends sometime as well!
The property we stayed on was beautiful though a bit uneven, so Corey had to get a little creative with what he likes to call “Negative Leveling”. Worked like a charm!
We had planned on a few excursions in Coeur d’Alene, but we saved mostly for our last day, and unfortunately a broken toilet derailed those plans.
This was a new issue for us - the flapper on our toilet broke, so we essentially had an open pit toilet in the RV, and if you have ever visited a National Park bathroom, you know that is not ideal.
Thankfully, we were able to find a new one at a Camping World not to far away and got to cross over into the state of Washington for the only time this year to grab it!
We headed to Kootenai Fairgrounds for the night to do the install, get the RV and truck washed up and meet up with our friends at Sumo Springs International for a spring upgrade to the truck and new install on the trailer! Here is our affiliate link if you are looking for springs for your truck or trailer: www.superspringsinternational...?ref=mwvizge
Stay tuned for next week as we head back to Grand Tetons to meet up with more friends at one of our favorite boondocking sites ever! Be sure to like and subscribe and click on the bell icon for notifications when we release new videos!
Don’t wait to live your life, find your 🔆SOMEDAY🔆 now!

I'm a Rv mobile tech and replacing a toilet is one of the easiest things to do, Just make sure where the water comes in is the same as your old ond. Tip to make wifey happy, replace the stupid plastic rve seat with a soft close lid from homedespreat or Lowes. A standard seat will fit a rv toilet. Great Daane RV Mobile Service Paso Robles, Ca.

That's a great suggestion! Replacing the RV toilet is definitely an easy task, and upgrading the seat with a soft close lid sounds like a smart move. It's always important to make little improvements to enhance the comfort of our RV experience. By the way, have you considered the Segway Portable PowerStation Cube Series for your outdoor adventures? It's a versatile power station with massive capacity, fast recharging, and comprehensive protections. It could be a great addition to your RV setup!

Just watched a channel where Grand Design made them take off their Sumo springs because they were blaming them for the frame damage to their 5th wheel. Said it made it too stiff for what the frame was designed for. But them again. seems like I have seen a lot of channels recently with frame damage on Grand Design units.

I love the way you got Jess' face to look green in the thumbnail. We replaced our toilet earlier this year. Went to a dometic 320. Preferred the elongated seat and also the porcelain. We did have trouble with the water not staying in the toilet after flushing. Replaced the seal, and that worked for about a month, then decided to read the book that came with it (I know I should have done that first). Turns out in the book it tells you to close the toilet and pour 1 qt of hot water (out of the tap) then let it cool completely. This will help to make the seal work better. Just in case you or someone watching is having the same problem.

The perfect episode for me. I have a 2008 Avalanche LTZ and i need to tow my RV trailer occasionally for short distances. When i drop the trailer on it i almost bottom out. I went to suspension experts to get air bags on, but they won't work on my truck. I have already reach out to Sumo to see if they have an application that will work. Thank you!! Love your channel.

This happened to us last week camping in Death Valley. A little plastic pin breaks. We too replaced the whole toilet because it needs a new flapper seal about the same time anyway. BEWARE! There is a square piece of Styrofoam about the size of a rubics cube stuffed in the bottom of the new toilet. You may not see it and if missed can lead to some real problems you don't need later. Also, keep the old toilet seat/cover because when it breaks on the new toilet, it'll happen when new seats are on back order and on top of that new seats are very expensive and can be hard to source on this particular model. It's a bit different shape from the rest we found.

Ah, it must be the season for toilets. Bang, in a split second the actuator for our flapper valve just broke! Surprise! The waste ball drive arm kit for the Thetford aqua magic style 2 needs to be replaced. Luckily we are having temperatures in the mid 20's right now at night and the odor has not been bad so far. We are needing to remove the toilet and replace the drive arm on the "Thetford". Just trying to get our nerve up to remove the toilet, replace the arm, and put the toilet back. Probably would be a great idea to purchase a spare 'arm kit' because in another year it may be needed. Glad your repair went smoothly.

Keep us updated on the Sumo Springs. I'm on the fence. I just watched a video where the owner had bent and cracked support beams on his RV and Grand Design is saying the Sumo Springs caused it because they didn't allow the springs to flex and take the load and the force was placed on the RV support beams causing cracks and bent beams.

Hi guys. When are they going to put air bags and shocks and get rid of leaf springs on trailers. Bags would help level the trailer and smooth out the ride when towing. Try to avoid sumo because of the ride. Sumo are just hard plastic bumpstops.

I had to laugh when you guys were in the bathroom and Jessie said “she was relieved” after you had installed the new toilet. By the way, what toilet seat did you go with to replace the standard seat?

air lift air bags is the only way to have thecorrect height at all times and support the lift or weight on the trailer. sumo suspension is very aware of the problems that cause the breqaks and bending of the frame, i WOULDNT USE IT?

I am interested in the Sumo Springs on your truck and how you feel about what they have done for your ride with and without a load on the hitch. I want to put them on my Ram truck to improve the ride when towing our 32 foot Freedom Express. I love you videos and have been following you for years!

Hey! Thanks for following along🙌 The ride is essentially unaffected not loaded, and just improvements when hooked up , less squatting, less porpoising, and overall a bit more stable.

I thought that a Grand Design fifth wheeler? was classified that the SUMO SPRINGS was the cause of damaging their trailer.
