‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣ THIS EPISODE ‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣‣
Somehow this is our 200th episode! We never could have imagined that we would have gotten to this number when we first started our channel, but now looking back, we are so glad that we put in the time and energy to capture our adventures and the memories we have made with our girls over the last 6 years. Each one is such a treasure that we look forward to sharing with our grandchildren SOMEDAY!
As we look back at all these episodes, we are so thankful for our FOS Crew on Patreon for their constant love and support, for our audience who have allowed us into their homes which is such a great honor, and for all of you who are joining us today as we move into this new year!
PS - If you are enjoying our content, please be sure to SUBSCRIBE as that helps us out so much!
Ok, on to the good stuff - THE GRAND TETONS!
Last week we shared giving up our reservation at Gros Ventre National Park Campground to snag a gorgeous boondocking site at Upper Teton View. If you missed that craziness, you can check it out here: • 3 DIFFERENT CAMPSITES ... ;
There is so much to do in Teton National Park, and even if you have been somewhere in the park before, there are usually different ways you can experience the same place! We were super excited to take our friends, @travelingstephens , to see Jenny Lake after an amazing group breakfast overlooking the Tetons.
The last time we visited Jenny Lake, we hiked up to Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point and back, but this time we wanted to experience taking the boat across the lake to see Hidden Falls.
You can either take the boat both ways or just one way and hike around the lake. It is a quick ride and a great option if you have little ones or if you aren’t able to do the full hike. You buy tickets right at the boat launch - $12 for one way and $20 round trip ages 12 and up. Kids are $10, and 2 and under as well as 80 and older are FREE!
The hike around the lake is absolutely beautiful, and we wrapped up the day by getting pizza at Dornans Pizza Pasta Company, a must stop when in Jackson!
Last week’s episode brought up a lot of questions about boondocking, so we took a few minutes to share some of our tips and tricks on how we find these amazing camping spots and how we prepare to stay for multiple days without any hookups. If you have any other questions that we didn't touch on, please message us so we can address your questions in upcoming videos.
Stay tuned for next week as we share how much you can do in Teton National Park in one morning all before you have to check out of your campsite! Be sure to like and subscribe and click on the bell icon for notifications when we release new videos!
Don’t wait to live your life, find your 🔆SOMEDAY🔆 now!

You guys have some of the best cinematography out there! We're big into boondocking and do it about 70% of our time on the road. It saves you money and often results in a better experience. The best RV memories are usually made when you're not in a campground!

My husband retired last year, became very ill and had to have his gallbladder removed so we are on a budget this year. We have booked some senior 50% discounts before the camping season opens here in WV at state parks, but boon docking is on our list to try. We don't have solar, but we think we have enough portable solar and a generator to get us through. Thanks for being so encouraging.

In general. Just make sure your RV has two good batteries that have ample amp hours. If you're using typical deep cycle lead acid batteries. Dont let them go below 50% capacity. They dont like it. If you are using a couple of lithium batteries. You can use them to zero percent capacity. So just make sure you have two batteries and a decent inverter generator of at least 2000watts. If you want to use your ac. You'll need two 2000watt inverter generators run in parallel or a single 3500watt inverter generator. Boondocking made easy and on a budget. Have fun. 😊

So sorry to hear about your husband's health issues recently. Praying he is fully recovered and can enjoy all of your travels this year! As long as you have a generator and have been able to test out what you guys can do with your tanks (grey water is your weakest link when boondocking usually), you should be good! Really hope you are able to get up to Upper Teton View SOMEDAY! Thanks so much for watching!

On a side note, we’re planning a month long trip for later this year and wanted to go to Rushmore, Custer, Wall..but just can’t fit it all in so that section was scrapped 😢 (Dont tell my husband but secretly I’m still trying to figure out how to make it work😂)

I agree with you on the Boondocking. As I live full-time in my motorhome, I Boondock at least 95% of the time. I consider being able to haul the weight, another advantage of being in a older diesel pusher, as I almost always travel with full tanks of water, and naturally start out with you. Another great video. Thank you.

We have been here a week and we are planing to be here up to a couple of months. Only solar we have is 200 watts of portable suitcase panels. We have another set of 200 watts on the way.

Still loving the videos. The Tetons is one of our most favorite places and hope to get back there. As for boondocking, we have 1 solar panel and 2 lead acid batteries. Joy's family has a camp that has a couple of RV spots so we spent a weekend there to test out boondocking skills. We didn't do it in the summer, because we would have to run the A/C and certainly not enough juice for that. But we learned that we could stay as long as we can run the generator about 1-2 hours a day to help recharge the batteries. Also found some gadgets to help like a K-cup coffee maker that doesn't need electricity.

You are so right about all that excess weight (water) and what an unavoidable chuckhole might break. Not worth the risk. We enjoy Boondocking also. Each year I try to make the rv just a little more Boondocker friendly. You don’t have to do all the upgrades at once.

Really good job guys. Love your videography and editing. Glad you stick to mostly showing the grand places to see. I make notes. And thanks for the tip about the app and finding boondocking sites. You and Changing Lanes are my favorite RV channels. Thanks

Love your videos. Congratulations on the 200th episode. We also love boondocking. We usually pick that over a RVPark. Forest service is another fabulous way to go. Dry camping & boondocking is the best. Look forward to another 200 episodes.
