  BREAKING: Rabotino has been taken by RF. Now, what does this mean? The Rabotino area was contested for a very long time, however, Russia never made a serious push forward there. It now becomes clear that apart from the attrition objective the other objectives were to break the heavy defense lines of the Nazis in Donbass first. This also furthered the de-nazification objective and showed the nationalist troops for who they are/were: terrorists and cowards in war. That is the psychological component. Now that the Northern front has been opened, the thinning out of the already thin forces has begun. The whole charade of having a well organised 500k army comes crashing down. The Ukraine has not more than 100k fighting fit troops left. The rest are unwilling and untrained. Probably not more than 400k in total, and diminishing by 30k a month of which 50% of the hardcore. In June there will be less than 50k hard core nationalist troops left across the whole front line. In the cities maybe another 50k to keep the populations suppressed. Once these are thrown to the front line the cities will see uprisings and normal army units will simply defect. All territorial troops will give up or switch sides. Zaparozhe: once the Cherny and Sumy front chapters are opened too, the thinning will be so extreme that the time for Odessa and Nikolaev will have come. And who better to liberate them than Surovikin. Alone his name will instill fear and defeat with the remaining Ukrainian troops in the south. However, Odessa will require a master plan that is both elegant and effective, and creative! There are some creative ideas, how to liberate Odessa and bring this whole affair to a quick end now.

  If I remember correctly, a few years ago Putin tried to appoint a new defence minister who was anti corruption, but was effectively forced to fire him because there was so much pushback from vested interests involved in defence procurement. Maybe the war has finally given Putin cover to get the job done.

  What a joke the whole media industry has become they -all seems to forget Shoigu asked to resign 2-3 years ago but Putin asked him stay on. So, they can call this whatever they want but facts still are just that facts! and by the way in my mind by creating this kind of a Buffer between The Armed forces and the National defense spending is just yet another brilliant move from a brilliant leader and it is absolutely serving its purpose much better and it’s going to be much more efficient under Civilian leadership. Look at any command-and-control structure in the world - Civilian or Military - and what has changed the most in the last 10 years?
