Thats not crazy, but expected. Once you run out of prodessionals and fight with Amateurs with 0 training who are not willing to fight and have 0 clue about maneuvre movement and on top brigade leaders who became leaders by the luck of survival things start to desintegrate soon. Removing Zalushny was the final nail in the coffin as this alienated the few remaining prodessionals. Russians could have done all this in 3- 6 month going the US way by flatening everything and attacking civilians.

But, while the smart thing to do, the US is furthest from smart. It'll conclude it can't suffer anymore political suicides at this point... ironically sleepwalking itself into darkness. Ukrainians were very foolish in believing that the US and its various vassals would support them for as long as it takes. As if they never picked up a history book and read the chapters on Vietnam and Afghanistan, to name a few. They where in the perfect position to play both sides against each other and remain neutral. At that point the biggest enemy would've been corruption. There is no reason for the country to be so poor, it had incredible potential. All squandered and for what?

So far after 2+ years of all-out war Russia has not been too successful in that area. 90% of exchanged UA troops say they have been tortured . Wounded UA troops taken prisoner have been killed by Russian troops. Where is the incentive to surrender??
