Agree - also, both Kiev and several other eastern European gov'ts (who have been NATO members for more than twenty years) seem to think that Article 5 with the NATO charter make them co-owners of the entirety of NATO's armament stockpiles. If Russia would destroy the bridges of the Diniepr the stranded Ukranian soldiers east of the Diniepr would surrender after a while. But there are many, many bridges.

Not that many if you mean the Big River, Russians has the means and I'm sure that it's their plan B if the can't get Odessa

One cannot demilitarize Ukraine by interrupting their logistics entirely by destroying bridges etc. which is why it makes total sense that the Russian keep those supply arteries open so that they can fulfill one of their main goals to demilitarize Ukraine close to home instead of far west if at all.

There is a bottleneck in the age demographics of Ukraine between the ages of 20 and 25. If Ukraine were to draft 100,000 conscripts in any age group between 20 and 25, that would be every last one of them. That's why most Ukrainians balk at lowering the draft age to 27 or 25. They could risk wiping out a whole generation of their young men.
