Sorry, but your first claim is wrong and somewhat naive. By "Ukraine" I assume you mean the people in charge of that country since the break-up of the Soviet Union. None of them "fell" for anything. On the contrary, they have been in league with, and guided by, the USA since day one. China hears real threats, and responds by enhancing military capability. They can already significantly "out-build" the entire West in terms of naval shipping just using their "military" yards. All NATO will have lost, would be credibility, drying up of their weapon stockpiles, and forever loss of the "secrets" contained within those weapons, for Russia to develop counter measures. Russia now knows how to successfully counter the Patriots, the HIMARS system, the British Storm Shadow, the ABRAMS MBT etc.....a strategic disaster for NATO. Additionally, the formerly depleted Russian army has gotten entirely re-officered with the right people, along with making Russia a fully reconstituted lean, mean and battle-tested fighting machine. They know exactly how a modern defensive and offensive war needs to be fought.
