There are two aspects that get to me. Israel is doing a massacre in Gaza of biblical proportions. It is apparent that Israel and the US are very sure that, spinning their narrative in all the mainstream media of the western countries we, the common people, will not understand what is going on and will forget it all. The second aspect is that, as long as they (Israel and US) keep committing war crimes and infringing international law, it is ever more apparent the double standard of behaviour. Sanctions on Russia and now Iran but not even a statement of condemn for the attack on the Iranian embassy building at the UN.

I really wonder what the point of Israel’s attack was. They either were testing defenses, thought Iran had much weaker defenses or they couldn’t field very much at all. It would have been better for Israel to have done nothing than what they did do. The only thing I could think of was maybe they were trying to provoke a massive response from Iran with something tiny so they could play the victim card more effectively.

Israel retaliated using three small drones from within Iran territories! what a retaliation that is knowing that Iran used 300 projectiles attacking Israel? NO the US did not expend $300 Billion to Ukraine in the last 10 years. Bilateral aid committed to Ukraine between January 24, 2022, and January 15, 2024: Total: $74.3 billion , Before 2022 US Aid to Ukraine of all types (2014-201) was only a few billion dollars, and certainly under $10 Billion altogether for those years. The US only sent lethal aid (none of it heavy weapons) to Ukraine starting in 2019.

It seems to me in my simplistic analysis that there is an easy exit for the US in the Israeli/Palestinian dilemma. If Israel continues to refuse to negotiate a peace agreement with the Palestinians, the US ( and indeed the rest of the western world) could refuse to supply Israel with any more money, weapons or aid of any kind.

one solid internal argument for the arms package can perhaps be made like this: alot of the 'fabled wonder weapons' US military and companies have been advertising and selling are showing themselves to be obsolete in the battle field. no one will buy them, even at a discount. this type of arms package is basically the only way they can still be sold at full price - courtesy of the US tax payer! it's almost a peace initiative, since they are certainly not going to hurt anyone. and it's a green policy, too, because the US doesn't have to pay to trash them and destroy the climate in doing so, like a farting cow!

China did not retaliate when its embassy in Yugoslavia was bombed. It was not ready. It had more important things to do like building up its economy and military. Russia retaliate against Ukraine and NATO because it was ready. And look what happened to Ukraine and NATO now. Iran would be no different. It would not have retaliated if it were not ready. All great civilisations think alike. They will wait for the right moment before they retaliate. Bring it on.
