I should just like to say that i agree with you Alex when you say that Russia does not need to be in a hurry to carry out any " big arrow" offensives, i remember last autumn after Russia defeated the greatest Ukrainian counter offensive, texting Dima at the MSC, who was having one of his periodic wobbles, and was saying that Russia needed to launch big attacks this year, i said Russia no need to hurry and that they could continue to grind down the Ukrainian military for another 2 or three years if necessary, after all , contrary to what most Westerners believe, Russia main aim is not to conquer huge amounts of territory , nor to end this conflict quickly, unless the Ukraine surrenders, and Russian demands on security are met, the Russian priority is to demilitarise Ukraine, so why not, do it where they are, rather than chasing what's left of the Ukrainian army all over the Ukraine, on another note, it soon will be time to consider how Russia will/ should behave in victory, they will have a chance to really impress the majority of the world if they do it right, and leave the Collective West looking foolish.

What a sad little reality you must live in. Sure Russia can spend another 2 or 3 years losing men, money and equipment in this war. I mean what's some more lost Russian lives on top of the 100,000 or so dead or seriously wounded Russians already? Why don't we let Russia continue to empty their stockpiles of Soviet stuff as they can't make enough modern stuff to keep up with battlefield loses? I am sure the highwire act that the Kremlin needs to pull off to keep inflation in check while running a huge budget deficit while also having central bank interest rates are 18% is totally feasible for another 36 months without worry. After all that is why Russia is forced to use stuff from the 50 and 60's on the battlefield because they just like to.

Well from the vatnik viewpoint little Mikey Johnson has delayed Ukraine aid by six months practically single-handed--so he has played his Putin-friendly role. At any point during those months he could have sent the February 2024 Senate bill out to be voted on or even originated a security aid bill last Fall 2023 when the fiscal year started and done the work of appropriating money that the House is supposed to take the lead on. . USA & GOP Putin-lovers should be very happy that he doesn't know how to do his job.

Unemployment in the USA is under 4% for the last two years Why would anyone want to go for a "job' on US Army Private's pay (E1) who receives a monthly basic pay of $1,833 (2024) ?? Wage increases for lower paid people in the economy are at record levels ...Even if our US Private (E1) would deploy to a combat zone (say in Syria/Iraq) his pay would only be about $42,000 or so for risking his life. Also a record number of new business organizations are currently being created in the USA providing many opportunities for young people.
