Man you know so much of Russia
The gigantic mistake was thinking it was a stalemate.
Even though Srsky is sometimes wrong in decision, isn't the blame should be on the past Head of military since he is the on in position? he didn't prepare for almost 2 years.
Firstly Mr Mercouris many thanks for making sense of the madness passing itself off as politics in the EU. I wonder if you think that perhaps the position taken by the French and some Germans politicians is perhaps a way of making some sort of negotiation position for Ukraine. What they are suggesting is clearly madness.
Russia is getting stronger and stronger, Zelensky is getting higher and higher

Russia has a winning military strategy, Ukraine and NATO have a PR strategy. The dogs bark, but the caravan moves on.
Belgorod is not in the Ukrainian line of contact where Ukraine is fighting to protect their country and despite the complaints of ammunition shortage and pressing for the last USD 61 billion aid in weapons and ammunition, it would appear that there is not really a shortage of ammunition if the Ukrainians can afford to shell civilians in Belgorod and Donbass "wasting" much in shortage ammunition. The US, UK and the other countries are complicit in war crimes by supplying weapons and ammunition to Ukraine to kill civilians. They cannot claim that just because the weapons and ammunition have been transported to Ukraine, these now are Ukranian and what the Ukrainians did with it is the responsibility and accountability of Ukraine. The question is who provided these weapons and ammunition? If they were not supplied or shipped or transported to Ukraine, would the irresponsible killing of civilians have occurred?
there is one saying '" war is a people's war " without your peop[le believe in your case you will LOOSE and doesn't matter if your weapons are superior

You are absolutely right in your observation that only time will tell whether new defense minister in Russia will be successful or not,,, Even though the Army chief remains in charge of overall operational aspect of any war or military operation as the case may be ,,yet a person with sound understanding g of Military action etc fits better in the job of Defence Minister
