@@scottparkin69 Am glad you had fun, it is a pain when the folk you go with have a different agenda. The thing I love about the ABR is that it is a music festival where everyone loves bikes... so there is always something to talk to randoms about, and tag along with. I met up by fluke this year with a total random I met up with last year, and we hung out for a bit, even did the pub quiz with them 😀 I get the social anxiety thing though, I struggle with it, especially when I've not had a beer... thankfully there was lots of beer! 😀

Poop moments are indeed important. It's not like we all have spare flush water at home to do our business there. This is why we work in an office and go out on weekends, to have the big flush somewhere else. It's all about budgeting. / @ 13:17 were you quoting Jamie Oliver? 😆/ Music-wise, events I have gone to here often have younger local bands performing. Style is still usually more with rock roots. But they are fresh and interesting to listen to, also cheaper for the organizer.

Haha, I always make the most of being at work too... toilet paper is not cheap! 🤣 No Jamie Olivers were harmed in the making of this video 😄 Yeah, younger newer original music bands would be better, but the biking community is aging, so I assume they did market research and thought best to not deviate from the status quo... lol. Totally different bikes mate, and I tend to leave the bike specs for people to check online as they are easily available. But the 8S has around 80bhp and is a parallel twin, the GP around 120 and is a triple. The 8S is all about bottom and mid-range torque, the GP is mid-range and top end power... it does have more torque ultimately, but as it is higher up the revs, it is smoother. The 8S is a bit of a hooligan to ride, like a supermoto, the GP is more refined and obviously more sporty 🙂 They both weigh about the same, have a 14l tank, but ride and feel very different.

So am juggling my bank balance to see if I can afford the swap with the 8S to an 800RE, but not sure if possible... especially seeing what the dealerships say my 9 month old, 3500mile 8S is worth 🤬

I fell in love with it when I first saw it at EICMA

I love the old school fairing stay, just like my 97 GSXR 600. I found the Yamaha QS to be way better than the Suzuki QS. I love that they put cruise control on it. It's a hard requirement for me as well. Are you planning a full header replacement or a mid or slipon only? My Busa came with S22's got a little over 5k on them with 4k mostly on top of the tire due to a mostly highway road trip. I suspect if you do less highway miles you may get more mileage out of them then I did. at the moment, in terms of new bikes this one is at the top of my list. It makes me sad the GP full fairing one isn't coming to the US.
