Yeah, it was a nice house other than that, but also needed central heating and didn't have a garage

I get the impression that you like that bike. Ah, Newcastle Brown Ale. Was my tipple of choice until the day I had far too many pints of snakebite made from it and Strongbow Triple X many moons ago. Imagine having a plastering job done and finding the furniture no longer fits 😀

Haha, I wonder what makes you think that? 😀 I tried it again as an adult last year, am not so much of a fan of it anymore... and made myself sick drinking it too... no snakebite though, just the ale! 😀 Yeah, funnily one of my best mates looked at buying that house when it was still up for sale, I think I might have put them off when I told them what was being done 15 years back when I was house hunting! 🙂

Aw man I'm jealous, that is some great weather you have at the moment. We are innundated with doom and gloom over here. Massive rain storms just rolled through and the clouds haven't moved out yet. It's been about 2 weeks now and the blue skys pop out as a teaser then promptly covered up by the clouds. Pretty soon we will be complaining about the heat and lack of rain though..lol. That really sounded like a nice enjoyable ride.

I'd feel bad, but generally you have 90% better weather than us, so am gonna be smug for a couple of weeks while you suffer the greyness that has plagued England for the last 8 months! 😀 It was a cracking day mate, I find a random no camera ride always perks me up a bit 🙂

Bike sounds great mate! If you didn't know it was a suzuki. You'd think it was a ktm! - I'll go Wash my mouth out now! 😂. Yeah, don't be thinking we are all overly sensible, but I believe the expression is 'there's a time and a place' 😉😎😁👍. With track days too. No need to go totally bonzai on the road any more, just not worth it, plus there's too much mud, tractors and other crap on them to worry about! 😎👍

Had mine flat stick at 208 klm/hr last week. Head was at risk of getting pulled off my body by the wind. Not a comfortable pace on the 8s. Very satisfied with the 8s performance though, most of the time I'm toodling around at sensible speeds.

My jacket vibrates at speed, which keeps it in check a little. I've ridden naked bikes most of my biking life, so am used to a bit of wind blast 😁

Hi Pete, sorry, just realised that I watched this the other day and didn't leave a comment. A very enjoyable blast on your epic 8S this was. I can only imagine the naughtiness of the bits you had to leave out 🤔 I am glad to hear that your friend is starting to feel better about things, that's good to hear. I sense that the situation really got to you, so hopefully you can now start to feel better about things. I am starting to think that despite the rain, the UK has had more nice biking days than we've had over here ! The wind is just constant. Anything under 50kph these days is now considered a "moderate breeze". It's definitely getting on my mammaries !!! Anyway, enough moaning. Thanks for taking us along for the ride as always Pete ! Ahh thanks for stopping by a second time to comment mate 🙂👍 I've taken a few days away from KZread viewing, as I spend too much time on a PC at work already, has been nice to have a break, but am looking forward to catching up on everyone's content over the weekend. I guess wind is the downside to such a stunning location... I hope it gives you some respite soon.

@@HippoDrones 👍 Yes, it has always been fairly windy here in the valley ( hence the mahoosive wind farm I guess ) but this year has been unlike any previous year that I can recall. The wind is stronger at all times and calm days are almost nonexistent. Apparently it’s calmer in the mornings but since I’m not a morning person I consider that to be a bit of a legend, mere folklore 😂 I know what you mean about trying to reduce your screen time. I took my Yamaha Tracer FJ-09 to the limiter of 192 KPH and it too bad they are limited in Canada. But, I did take my friend’s Yamaha R1 M to 280 KPH a few years ago 😁

I've maxed out a few bikes over the years, it is quite mind blowing how fast they are, I think the fastest I've gone was a similar speed indicated, nearly 3 miles a minute! 😲

They’re starting to crack down on the people who post videos of speeding over here, too. So far it’s been high profile ones. I think they’re just trying to set the example.I hope people take the hint, so we don’t end up with speed cameras everywhere over here, too.

I have white 8s and love it and just over 3000 smiles on it, only 2 niggles are lack of proper tool kit and no 90 degree air valves, such a faff checking pressures come on Suzuki. Other than that it’s brilliant for street riding and country roads.

90° valves would be nice, maybe get some fitted next tyre change? Regarding the lack of tools, you really shouldn't need any, such a reliable engine and you can get to the battery with what they give us. My Aprilia Tuareg 660 didn't come with any tools at all. I made my own set up for that bike as I trail rude it, so a higher chance of breaking something 🤣 You have similar miles as myself on the bike.

I did that on my Gixer by accident and traded it in thinking it hadc20k miles on it, when it only had 13k miles, they got a bargain off me there

Our roads are ruined by fear of mobile speed cameras. It’s really crap. Even in the middle of nowhere. Stupid.

So instead of track days you now do tractor days? I think that what kind of rider you are does not necessarily have to correlate with what kind of videos you put up. We need to think about being examples to maybe younger viewers. I know we don't want to, but...
