A Vstrom 1000 you say, I didn't know you hung around with people of such fine and distinguished taste. Oh congrats Pezza on that new bike that's an absolute beauty!!!! I'm currently arguing with my brain over going in to debt for a fancy big R18B :D That is stunning tho. I miss country lanes with friends. Nice to still be able to watch it at least :) Too short :'( But I'll survive until next week :)

Yeah, I think he is really pleased with it, and rightly so... he has done a great job getting it back on the road. The cafe is really nice, sadly the planning permission for the one nearer where I live has been turned down, but at least it gives us an excuse to have a rideout to this one! 😀

I think you nailed it with "charming".

Not been to Golding Barn for yonks! Used to do the odd motocross day there. Clearing the big double on the back straight got the old blood pumping!

Looks a bit soggy so your bike is perfect. Nice R80 the R80GS was one of the nicest rides around too.

It takes me a little while to dial back into the Aprilia after riding my Suzuki so much, but the Toe-Rag 660 is an awesome all weather motorcycle, just the tyres that let it down on tarmac, but it was me who fitted knobbly ones to it, so only myself to blame! 🤣

Nice looking Beemer, nice ride out.

Nice to see you out on the toe rag again there Pete ! I agree with Ken. That R80 is a lovely little bike. I bet it has real character as a ride. Love it. That's a BMW that I can get onside with ! I hope you get your new local cafe soon. I'm already very envious of all of the cafes you are able to visit as it is 🤬 After being unable to ride for 10 days because of wind and rain, I have now reached the point where I too would ride if it was just wet. Unfortunately we have gale force winds the whole time, which would make recording any audio impossible. I suppose I could do wet ride and then a voiceover from home 🤔 We'll see. But it's definitely that time of the year for me now. The time when nice days are like hen's teeth. It seems to be either raining, blowing a gale or both ! Roll on summer. Cheers Pete, Garry & Ruby

Remember you don't have to have your cameras with you to enjoy a ride mate! 🙂👍 I've been doing quite a few "me rides" recently. Sadly the planning permission has been denied, so we'll not be getting the new cafe, but like you say, we do have quite a few we can spin out to anyway 😁

@@HippoDrones Hi Pete, unfortunately I do because I only manage to ride once a week ! Even that's a struggle sometimes but having the channel forces me to find the time. But that does mean that every ride is by necessity a recording day, unfortunately. It's a shame about the cafe but knowing you, I'm sure that you won't starve mate 😉 Keep being fantasticles ! Legend says it, that long time ago pirates took over bmw products naming department. It is not a well known fact, that this bike got its name because someone misheard Arr, matey! / How can it be, the frames for the boxes have still not rusted? Pezza clearly said they would.

Hey we are having a bit of bipolar weather around here at the moment also. It was sunny and close to 80 since last Saturday, today is in the 50's and gloomy. It will be like this for another couple days🙄 Yeah that is a nice looking bike and as I was thinking, what makes that bike so nice? Simplicity, as compared to a modern bike. Simple yet refined.

Yeah, I think you are bang on the money re the simplicity of the BMW, it is quite stylish too, not sure if that is just me though. I'm so over this weather, yeah bipolar mate is exactly it!

We all like different things mate, although I also very much like his Beemer. I heard a rumour that he might ride it to it.

Nice old beamer, I know it's sacrilege but I'd love to hack one of those into a scrambler.
