Great fun Pete 👍 I particularly enjoyed that section where the two of you were bombing through those medium sized puddles , in the snow, in sequence. That looked like a proper laugh. So much so that if it had been me, I probably wouldn’t have minded getting wet, for once ! 😂 If you sell the Beta, you’ll regret it, so don’t !!! Cheers Pete. Yeah, it is fun through there when its wet... and the snow added to that fun too... I wonder if we'll get proper snow before winter is done with us??? You know I don't clean my dirty bikes except to service them, so I'm a bad influence... but splashing in puddles is GREAT FUN :-D I would mate, muchly, so I have decided not to for now at least. Hopefully you'll be feeling closer to 100% soon Garry and will be able to get out and explore again in short time. You too dude.

Cracking ride Pete, rain, snow, mud, the works 😁 Mr Fish seems like a good egg aye always smiling you blokes have a ball and that's what it's all about 👌 i concur with ya on the short legs making the bigger bikes harder to handle, even tho the 690 seems taller than my T7 it's so much easier and more confidence inspiring just because it's not so damn heavy. Cheers Josh, aye... all the weather lol 🤣 Yeah Fish is a good lad, always entertaining getting out on the bikes with him. The Beta is a bit taller than my Aprilia even though I had it lowered 2", but like you say, it is the light weight that makes it so much more confidence inspiring, it is so much more manoeuvrable too. I don't think I could get rid of it currently

Ahhh Pete - there's nothing like riding a favourite bike to put thoughts of selling it out of the picture 😁 It's getting to where I actually know your trials so well I know which way you're gonna turn next! Absobloominlutely mate 😁 Yeah, it is kind of annoying not having more trails locally I can play on. I will try and persuade the others to do a different loop at somepoint to mix it up a bit.

You need tear off's for the snow...😂 7:17, that's not a puddle, around here it's called a pond. 😂 Mr. Fish does pretty well through some of that tight stuff.

Haha aye...thankfully the snow flurry was not too long. 🤣 we do get a bit of water on some of our trails 🤣 He is pretty nippy indeed... just goes to show it is the rider rather than the bike when it comes to making progress 🙂👍

I enjoyed this video with you on your Beta and having a laugh with MrFish. You don't need to get rid of your Beta it's ideal for the wet green lanes we have here in the UK. 👍🏻

Nice to see the Beta out. Got to be easier to handle on the trails compared to the Aprilia. I guess if you've got much distance to do on the road to get to the trails then Aprilia is the better option

Love seeing the Beta again - Good stuff, if you come to Kent again I'll tag along. Also want to do some Surrey lanes, did them years ago on a Transalp!! Watched the Pilgim's Way one again. Never done them either!

Yeah that was the best bike choice and probably the main reason to keep the Beta. It’s just so much easier to ride in those conditions. About cleaning the bikes. It’s so funny when I go ride the trails on the T7. People always say something like, finally going to get that new bike dirty huh…. Or, be careful out here on that big bike, you might scratch it up🤣. No I just spend an hour or more when I get home washing, drying, spot cleaning and oiling all moving parts and anything else i feel that needs to be done. I don’t really have anything else to do when I get home after a ride so it’s just busy work really.

100% and yup, it is rides like this that show me I really need to keep it even if I lay it up for summer and just get it out in the winter months. I used to enjoy cleaning my bikes, and I do like them being clean, but when I get home from a trail ride, especially in winter, it is getting dark, I'll be soaking wet and cold and I would then have to spend half an hour just getting the jet wash hooked up as I don't have a yard, just a communal area with no water to it. I do maintenance on the bikes, so I clean the bits I have to to do that, but the rest stays dirty until I can get them to a public jetwash... and they don't do much more than get the worst of it off.

@@HippoDrones oh dang. That really does sound like a process just to get the bike cleaned. I also forgot about the weather in your parts and that would definitely put a hold on my riding and washing plans.

@@BigDaveTALKS My old KTM EXE250F and EXC200 were both immaculately cleaned, but I had a better set up for it back then in the Royal Navy, but I'd also not get them quite as mucky due to where we rode them... unless I was out on a local practice track, that was all soggy clay, so the bikes and myself would be caped in it after a day there! 😀

I didn't think you'd be able to get rid of the Beta. I desperately need to get out on the lanes, especially as @usernamekate has done a few vlogs on my lanes.

On the trails, it really doesn't make much difference although if it has settled, then it can be hard to tell what is underneath... but the Autumn leaves hide the same too. On tarmac, winter can absobloominlutely do one, it is a horrible time of year! 😀

Two questions - Are you sure it was not bird poo in the eye? Also if your helmet was stanky inside then are you a stanky mucker? Thanks for the trail ride!

These lanes public roads, right? So when you come upon a section that’s been filled in, or downed trees removed, the work has been done by the local government, and paid for with tax money?

Yup, effectively public roads... although a lot have restrictions on the types of vehicles that can use them. The council clear the big stuff, although a local logging company also does that too. The TRF and other user groups help maintain them from overgrowth.

You dont need a enduro you dont even use yours at a enduro track i used to take my 250 through one 😅😅
