So true mate, doesn't matter what the weather is doing, if you're out on the bike, there's a smile on your dial! I remember the first time I realised that, started the ride a little down because it was raining, but realised about half an hour in that I'd got comfortable and was having a great time.

Blimey Pete ! It looked like you were riding through Venice there at times ! Kudos to you both for going out in that, particularly to you for taking your relatively new 8S out in it ! I hope you didn't get too wet but probably the convenience of getting a good feed without having to cook yourself compensated somewhat 😂 Nice burp at the end there. Hahaha... yet no one offered us a Cornetto! 😀 It's just water and dirt, it all comes off in the wash... although the back of my Rukka jacket was caped in road grime sprayed up from the rear of the bike, glad I rewaterproofed it a few weeks back. I was a little dissappointed with the burp... it didn't have the volume I was expecting! 😀 The ham egg and chips were very tasty though 😛

Another wet one! Maybe you should wear an airbag vest, it can double as a flotation device if a pond-sized puddle catches you off guard! 😁 Hopefully it starts drying out soon, water is great and all, but too much at once can really start destroying things in a hurry!

Hahaha... well I am an ex-submariner, I should be used to the water by now! 😀 Fingers crossed the season will change soon and it'll all become a lot nicer out 🙂

Man I know the feeling, having to deal with the drab weather that is. We finally have a good weekend this weekend and I was able to get out a little today and enjoy a beautiful day ride. Yeah, our fields looked very similar to the flooded fields you were passing by.

It is getting to me now, I need the weather to cheer up already, I do love riding no matter what the weather is doing, but day to day, off the bike it is dragging me down... hopefully not long to go till it all starts getting warm and dry and can start going on trips again 🙂 That is ace you were able to get out with good weather mate 🙂

Here I am complaining about the amount of moisture we have around here at the moment 🙈 I take it all back now lol

I followed calimoto on the day of the Infamous bapless bacon baps 😆 the only time I ignored it, I found a fantastic straight with gorgeous views. The roads are falling to bits here too. One road even got closed because it was that bad.

How come you don't just stick to the Shui helmet if it's better Pete? I guess you just want to spread the usage out a bit more.... Wet time of year but spring is around the corner! 🎉 A Front blowout is terrifying! After 40 I've been trying to put the brakes on the years going by... Not working though 😮

The Shoei helmet is a lot heavier and also doesn't give as good audio as this helmet or the one I wear trail riding. I can't wait for spring, although it will still be wet at times no doubt with April showers etc. Aye, front blowouts and getting older really do suck! 😀

Cleaning the bike would be a pain. Good on you for getting out. Some Ahole nicked the quad lock of my 8S last week. Went to the shop, came out 15 mins later, gone. I mention it because I kept seeing yours on the video and I kept feeling how unfair it all is. :-)

Ahh that really sucks, there are some scumbags in the world. Was yours on a RAM mount, or bolted to the bike like mine? I half expect to have the mirrors robbed off my Aprilia Tuareg as they are on RAM mounts

@@HippoDrones Bolted same as yours. Funnily enough, I also ride a scooter around the city, and someone did exactly the same thing. Except this time they nicked the entire rear view mirror it was bolted to as they mustn't have had the allen key. This was about a year ago now. I'm giving up on quad lock, 2 out of 2 is a bad omen.

I bought Calimoto without a subscription. You don't get the speed camera stuff but you get the world maps and navigation. The route tracking app online is excellent too. Not sure if it's still available at the same price I paid (around £50). It's not perfect on the standard planning, sometimes taking you down silly routes, but you can change that in the app. Looks like you've got similar flooding over there to here. The rain seems never-ending at the moment! Have you checked the valve for leaks? I've had a sticky one before that just needed the innards tweaking.

@@CalmBiker The speed camera alerts would be handy though as generally I imagine it'd take me along new routes.... but I've survived so far without it 😀 I am so over this winter... and all the rain, roll on Spring hey! I shall do that, gotta be worth a try, although others have also had their fronts lose pressure in the same way with MotoZ tyres fitted... be a much easier and cheaper fix than a new set of tyres though hey! 😀

Should of bought out the jetski 😂

Yup, we got turned around a couple of times on the way home due to flooding

Can I ask you sir what is that rear fender ? seems practical since this bike supposedly wets your whole backside when you get the licence plate holder instead of that abomination, I'm considering this bike as my next choise but im worried about this back splash with fender eliminator ..

Hi, I got the rear fender from Motea, although it was missing loads of parts and actually didn't fit the bike even though their advert said it would. I got a refund as it was useless in that state. I then sourced the missing parts and made my own bracket to mount it out of some steel plate.

Do you have the cat removed?
