you guys certainly get around Fort William looks nice to visit *thumbs up👍Au💯full view always*
Your tour of Fort William was fantastic! The scenic stops you made along the way from Garve, especially with the historical insights about Buie Priory, were captivating. The detour through farmland sounds like a fun adventure, and your dining recommendations, particularly the venison burger with haggis, have my mouth watering! I'm excited to see where your travels take you next.👍
A million thanks! The Beauly Priory was such a great stop. We really appreciate your watch and kind comments!
Nice video and information. Have a wonderful week 👍
This is such prime hiking area. The next video we’ll be at Ben Nevis, the UK’s highest mountain. Nothing like Norway, but impressive by British standards.
This was fantastic, lovely to see more of the NC 500, such a breath taking landscape. Loved Ardbeck castle in your drone footage that was so very beautiful. Isolate and alone on that island, it's just perfect! Thank you for the wonderful video
Thank you so much. We thought the same thing. The castle was so moody and atmospheric! So glad you loved it as much as we did!!
interesting castle and nice views on your travels there *🌞have a cool week🔆👍like☑full view✅🥸Au🦘*
That castle, in that light, was just so moody. We probably spent too long, but we couldn’t get enough!
Thank you for sharing 😊
The castle was a spectacular stop. So moody at sun set!
Amazing parts of the world you discover! Thank you for sharing these with us 🙂
Thank you for being one of the people that helps us discover the most amazing parts!
Hi there Most of the buildings you mentioned in your video were built late 1700s on when the town was built to a new design. Old Thurso was down by the harbour at the river mouth.
You have to remember - the late 1700’s is old for us Americans!🤣 but thanks for clarifying.
The title says excursion IN the port. I was hoping for information about Zeebrugge. This was all about Brugge.
We certainly didn’t mean to be deceptive. Zeebrugge does have a beach, but not as much retail and restaurant activity. People from surrounding cities will go there for the beach. Many cruise lines advertise Zeebrugge as the port for Bruges and we wanted to help travellers understand that it might, in fact, be easier to take a ship’s shore excursion rather than trying to manage transportation on your own. We don’t generally do the ship excursions, but we found that in this port it was easier, much more time efficient and not a lot more expensive. But if you’re staying in port, you’ll still need to arrange to get transportation out of the industrial port and to the beach.
omg the distortion on the panoramic feels like I am being abducted by aliens!
So sorry. Are you watching on a big screen? Back when we were editing this, we were editing on a much smaller screen. When we pull them up on our 85” tv, we just die! And that’s not to say we didn’t see some distortion when we were editing, we were just working so hard to get something published we let a lot of things get past our quality control. Hopefully we’ve gotten better about all of that.
@@welltravelledlife I was watching on my phone and referring to the sound too. I appreciate your video overall. I don't blame you for trying your best from where you are. Thank you for your consideration. ❤️
@@brickstopher699 We're still learning. But we were REALLY learning when we made that video. But the town is lovely, and our video just doesn't do it justice.
One of the better tourist traps in San Diego. Family friendly, and nice restaurants to visit, day or night. But the video hosts are are disappointing when they make comments concerning it's recent past. Little Italy was authentic, affordable to locals and visitors. The "New Little Italy" is now $$$.
While it is more expensive, so is most of San Diego, and in this case you really do get a revitalized community that shows off its history in an authentic and entertaining way. We aren't trying to take away from this "old Little Italy," just to highlight how enjoyable the "new Little Italy is."
Beautiful video guys! Happy Summer!
We love that you enjoyed it. We are ga ga over those landscapes!!
Very nice video. We will be in Alesund on a cruise from 7:00 AM -- 5:00 PM. We were considering doing the trollstigen tour. Do you think we'll have enough time to do both the trollstigen tour and possibly see some sights in Alesund like visit Mount Aksla and see all th🎉 colorful buildings
You definitely will. Whoever you get to take you to the Trollstigen can stop by Mount Aksla on the way back to the ship so you’ll get the views (but not the climb). Tell them you want a bit of extra time to see the colorful buildings, but you’ll also get good views of them as you sail in and out.
@@welltravelledlife thank you for the quick response. I might consider contacting the guide that you use. If the trollstigen can me done in 4 to 5 hours, I'll definitely have time to see a bit of the colorful city. Thanks for the tips.
@@NLMusique Knut's number is in the description. Give him a call. I know he's done other tours from other viewers who contacted him. He'll work within the timeframe that you give him.
Great to meet you in Kodiak, pleased you like the lord Nelson!!
So glad we met you guys! Hopefully we’ll connect at a brewery in Anchorage! There’s so much good beer in the world!!
cruise and well traveled is an oxy moron - i cruise sometimes but it’s good to understand how limited it is in traveling
Catching up with you; 2 of my favorite persons in the world & checking out those very beautiful sceneries that I have missed for quite sometime.Thank you so much for sharing this.Sending love and big hugs. 💞🫂💞 Have a safe travel always. 🙏💞🙏
Oh gosh! It’s so good to see you here again. I love to think of you watching our videos of other beaches around the world from your very special place by the sea. Sending you love and hugs and lots of new opportunities!
Love your video! We are going to Akureyri this August, Just wondering are there lots of local tours outside the cruise terminal? Thank you.
You’ll have some options, but if there’s something you really want to do, I’d book ahead. Booking privately is easy and cheaper than cruise ship excursions. Viator and Get Your Guide (etc.) all take a cut too. We try to book directly with the tour company to get the lowest price.
Thank you. We almost never use the cruise ship excursions. We try to go directly with local companies as well.
@@jenniferhe4200 What is on your Akureyri list of things you'd like to do?
2:16 150 km is a very long tunnel 😅
Yikes! Did I say 150 km long?!? The Laerdal is almost 25 km long. Not sure where I came up with 150. Thanks for the fact check!!!
@@welltravelledlife I think the first tunnel is around 3,5 km and the second underwater tunnel is 4 km
@@erlendgars We'll take all the correction we can get!
@@welltravelledlife i don’t want to be too nit picky😂 it was a very good video👏
@@erlendgars Being off by 130 km is not being nit picky! We seriously appreciate that it's being watched carefully enough for someone to catch mistakes. And we appreciate that you took the time to comment and correct us. We love this city and hope our video did it justice.
Dose hop on bus go to top of mountain
No, you’ll miss the Trollstigen. Hoho bus will get you around the city, but not out of town.
What gets you to view point at 77 not a walker
You can take a bus tour, van tour, or a taxi up to the top of the Trollstigen.
Starting to make plans. Think hop on bus
That’s a great way to see the city sites.
Part of Ncl Prima May 22 2025 Reykjavik departure
You’ll have such a great trip. Do you have plans for Alesund? I know other viewers have contacted Knut for tours and they’ve had a great time.
Very cool video! Loved the music that you added to the incredibly beautiful landscape. Did either of you do the zipline? Looked scary to me.
Jennifer was all in on the zip line. Unfortunately, they were closing down for the day as the winds were coming up. Jenn does the musical selection for our videos. Sometimes she gets it totally right.

Hey Jonathan and Jennifer! This video was so calming and beautiful! The drone footage really captured the scale of the landscape - it felt like I was right there with you. Those cliffs and ocean views are incredible, especially with the changing weather. Looks like you had a fun adventure with the hiking and watching the hang gliders too! Can't wait to see where you travel next.👌👍
You’re the best! You absolutely saw what we saw - and felt what we felt! We love the opportunities the drone is allowing us. We feel like we’re really capturing the emotion in these landscapes. Thank you so much for continuing the journey with us!
Nice video 👍
We loved making this one!
Crazy how turquoise those waters were under sunny skies!
some awesome scenes of beauty there *😎full view💯👀Au👍thumbs up*
I don’t think of white sands and turquoise waters in Scotland, but they’ve sure got them!
Nice video ✨👍
We loved making this one for sure!
Nice video and great information. Thank you for sharing 😊
It probably shows, but we sure loved making this one!
Our AirBnB host Deborah let us know that since we visited, they have installed a railing on the staircase. The house is now perfect in every way!
just dont get sick, has the worst hospital in the country.
Thankfully, that isn't something we needed to know anything about. But we're totally sorry that you had a negative healthcare experience there.
Thank you my friends for sharing such beautiful scenery and information. Wonderful flight!!! And nice tour!🥷🇯🇵
We loved making this video because we loved this stop so much.
Wow…those green carpeted cliffs…and those rocks! Beautiful!
You would have LOVED Deborah - and you'd have done some hiking here!!
What a breathtaking video! The landscapes of Melvich are truly stunning. Thank you for sharing this beautiful journey and the amazing drone footage. Your detailed tour and introduction to your hosts made it even more special! 🌿🚗📷
Our hosts made this stop especially wonderful. We loved their home and them. And we couldn't describe how beautiful it was without the drone footage. It was just so spectacular!
Stunning landscapes! 🏞 The wild beauty of Northwest Scotland in Melvich is breath taking. Thanks for sharing this amazing scenery! 🌿✨
We are so glad we chose to make a stop there. It was really close to Thurso where we had just spent a couple days, but there is no doubt this was worth a stop. We loved that we got to watch the sun go down over the croft and rise in the morning with the rain.
Thanks for the detailed video. I was considering the whale watching but I did it in Alaska already on a much more comfortable boat 😅
We felt like we had better whale watching experiences in Alaska. The zodiacs are fun, but Jonathan is sure he got kidney damage😂😜
Regarding the trees over 20 million trees are been felled to make way for wind farms .
That’s an interesting piece of information. We saw so much barren land, it hardly seems like you’d need to fell trees to get more.
When touring Scotland I’d advise everyone to go for a petrol car esp if you’re doing the highlands & islands.
We did start to have trouble charging on the far north western part of the country. We never got stranded and learned a lot, but it certainly added an extra element of adventure.
Just saw the BBKings Blues Club All-Stars on the Niew Statendam in May 2024. Some members have changed but they still are amazing, Darryl is a star.
Oh gosh! Darryl’s got the moves…and the voice!!! Our favorite moments were when he’d pull a guest out of their walker and in to the dance floor. He did it with such grace and chivalry!
Great tour as always. It is also a wonderful area full of history and culture. Thanks for sharing, my friends.🥷🇯🇵
Always great to see you here. We so appreciate your comments. Can you tell we’ve fallen in love with Scotland?!?
@@welltravelledlife Yes, I understand.
The blues!!! Wow! And those cows! ❤
This is a land of drama - in its history, lore and landscapes!
A beautiful city with beautiful natural views, I like to see it. Greetings from Indonesia ❤
You would love the driving up there. No traffic, beautiful views and narrow roads.
nice for us to look around Thurso with you some lovely views along the remote roads can sense the history there *💯full view💢Au👍big like👀 have a happy week*
There is a haunted sense to some of these landscapes. So much of Scotland’s history has been bloody, hard fought and heroic. But like Australia, the land has its own story to tell. It is so much bigger and more powerful than the plight of humanity.
Nice tour of the place. Thank you for sharing 😊
Thanks so much. Gorgeous part of the world. When it comes to natural beauty, Norway, Scotland and New Zealand top outer lists!
We are going to be there in 2 months....after seeing this video Im even more excited.
I hope you are as enchanted with it as we were. In our Best of Norway video, Skjolden kept coming up as a favorite in multiple categories. This really is the town Jennifer thought we should move to for a summer!
@@welltravelledlife is the hike up to the lookout easy for us non experienced hikers?? LOL
@@suepez1 It can be and of muddy, and it's a little steep, but Jenn did it in flip flops. There are walking sticks on the side of the building at the bottom. Take your time, and you'll be fine. It own't take you more than 45 minutes (and that includes multiple rests along the way) Coming down is way quicker - unless you stop for cider!
I recently had a cruise ship stop here. I went to Rostok by train in the morning, and then walked around Warnemunde in the afternoon. Pleasant day.
We agree and really think that both cities have enough to offer to keep you in the area.
Thank you for this video! I'm taking a cruise that stops in Warnemunde, and my friend and I had already decided we'd rather visit a cute German town than take a train to Berlin. (One day I'll make it to Berlin, but then I really want to visit Berlin, not spend a quarter of my day on a train. One question: Do you remember the name of the church?
It is the Warnemunde Church. We think you’ll really enjoy the town. And yes, one day you’ll get to Berlin and do it right. Berlin takes a full day, but we think you’d be better off spending at least 3, so that you have time for museums, meals, and activities.

Funny how midges are never mention in any Scotland tourism brochures - I don't know why not, are they really are a unique experience of the Scottish highlands. 🤣
We had midges in Iceland that could compete with Scottish midges. But there’s probably a reason Highlanders have stags as their emblem and not midges!😜😂
