It’s been a great trip. We’ve been (mostly) lucky with the weather. The Big Island offers a lot of variety in topography and is so recently molded by volcanic activity.

Mahalo! It’s important to us that we provide information, but also that we capture the essence of a place. Usually we try to get a local perspective and we weren’t sure we’d done as good a job of that while we were in Hilo. Your comment helps make us feel a bit more confident.

Texas has some pretty spectacular sunsets, but Hawaii might beat them.

Hey guys! Jenn is usually hard to pull out of the water, but volcanoes got her all excited for a day on land! Hope you both are well.

Great tour of the big island. We've been to Volcanoes National Park but didn't know about rainbow falls. Looks absolutely beautiful!

I can see you guys at Volcanoes! The falls are so accessible. Akaka Falls require a wee bit more of a hike, but is also spectacular.
