Thanks!!
Nice crab up the brickwork!!
If it looks sketchy - it probably is.
This guy on panic he is derail to the basic procedure
Man the interruptions are so Annoying.. he's trying to explain many things and you and his wife interrupting all the time ( I know you are acting dumb on purpose) .. but still you cut his ideas and don't let him explain important stuff
@@ssaw3008 I was asking a lot of questions to get a lot of info in the video, I didn’t mean to be interruptive. I’ll have to do better next time thanks for making me aware. 🤙🏻
Thanks
SPRAINED BACK. Rip
Nice work buddy. Very informative and well articulated video. Thank you brother.
That rope is rigged weird too, it almost looks like they just tied it onto a quick link with a figure 8 on a bight or something. Were they planning to ascend back up the same rope? Even more reason to set everything up properly and not reuse old tattered webbing.
This is Crew’s Route at Hobson Moor at the northern end of the Peak District, UK. I also fell and unzipped my runners on this route, however I was trying to get on the ledge on the left as I was too scared to finish direct when my fall happened. The reason for unzipping on this route is 100% the belayer standing too far away. The placements are average nut placements in polished, quarried, slightly flared rock and no cam placements low down.
Where can I get the vibram sole for my la sportiva climbing shoes?
I actually hate that my static top rope setup doesn't let me drop and reattempt stuff... But I'll be buggered if I'm trashing my dynamics with my ascender. Maybe I'm doing it wrong or something, but for the amount of TRS i do, my rope gets trashed pretty fast.
i love these little bits of info on how to be a better all round climber, proper lead belaying is super important and intimidating to learn or even approach someone about
Are all those climbers too cool for helmets?!?!
I couldn't stop enjoying your reaction to the video. My sentiment exactly
Just unlocked my Saab 93 using my Nike shoes shoelaces lol thank you so much man.
Cool trick, but might be hard to get right when time is of essence
That thing sure is ugly
Last time I watched ur video was for rope soloing. It’s always been a dream of mine to ride my motorcycle to climb, funny how that’s brought me here again. Props to the shared vision! Love the concept of these. Could see these as an addition to but not replacement of foam unfortunately. Wonder how they’d hold up on uneven landings.
Right on, we’ll when you show up with a group like I did you usually have a bunch of different types of pads to mix things up which is nice. Yeah uneven wasn’t to bad but I wouldn’t want to plop it on top of anything sharp or poky lol
Make it $75 and give it aramid or thick nylon casing w/ straps and I’m completely sold.
Yeah price is absolutely the worst part about this thing it seems. Maybe I am missing something, but the current price seems wildly inflated (pun intended) for a glorified air mattress. I understand it is made with more durable material, but air mattresses are CHEAP. Even if this thing was magic, I wouldnt spend $200 for it. I’d rather get a trifold at that point.
Lmao you have a Navi 😂 I love this bro
The cover is a great idea to make these pads more viable.
If they can implement your suggestions and get some different sizes, I would definitely buy a few, depending on price. My only other thing that I would gave wanted it a way to lock the paid together but I see they already have a solution for that on their website. Durability would me my main concern at the current price.
Would be afraid of the bounce for sure. Curious if the weight/bounce would cause the pad to slide out from under you on an uneven surface or bounce you off the side. Seemed like low weight plus texture made the friction small enough that it slid away very easily. Also would it break your ankles if you land standing up on it. Even if it could only be used on perfect landings I'd pick up a couple at a more reasonable price.
Great information and yes if it was cheaper I would buy them for my son-in-law. Would make a great Christmas gift .
The pump look pretty bad, but otherwise, I am really considering buying this when it is available in Europe.
I think the plastic handle would break if it fell on a rock.
Handles, Prize. (although 75 bucks ist more of a wet dream of you guys).
I have brought my pad on a motorcycle. It’s not fun and I didn’t go fast.
For solo bouldering that’s pretty sick
Ayeee, Beta Boy hittin the local diabase 🤙🏼 sick
I can see this as a used case for van life ppl, or if you wanna bring 10 pads in 1 car. Especially when you bring an electric pump
those 10$ hand size pumps are more than enough for these
Saw these in bishops earlier this year. More of a trad person, so I assumed they were normal modern stuff for tryhards while I poked around on v0's with my 20 year old blown out pad. I am sold on those blubbers though.
First, Get an electric pump. They cost nothing these days and do wonders. Second, I am not sure how these mats are constructed but I want to see something similar to the sleeping pads Seatosummit makes, which is auto inflatable and combination of solid foam and air.
That would be equally heavy to a traditional crashpad (or at least almost) and really bulky, too, if it's built sturdy enough. I once had a 4" (10cm) thick one of these self inflating pads and it was a monster when rolled up and a pain to get it that way. There's hardly any advantage to be had with that kind of construction.
Autoinflation on sleeping pads is a myth and has some drawbacks.
@@chaosengine4597 absolutely right, it only works to a certain degree, you need to blow some additional air into it. And it only works well if you don't store those pads compressed at home, which means inflated in that case. Otherwise the foam looses its loft (springiness).
Good luck taking that thing to Hueco, the cacti will have a hay day with that rig... 🌵😬
0:10 Always wear a helmet.
bro how come you tried every body part except for your legs to pump that thing up, you tried pressing it against both your ass and dick before stepping on it
dude ain't lying about the $75. I would buy it at that price
Bigger pump so more air goes in per pump
DAM you are ripped
Hi Josh
🤙🏻
It whistle cause the hose has ridges just get a smooth hose
I love this idea it makes bouldering in inaccessible places much more possible which I would compromise on crash paddyness for 🦧
Personally I would not like the bounce factor, foam absorbs the shock of a fall better where air rebounds. They could work well to build up a base though and then cover with traditional pads
Like to hear your thoughts…wonder what cold weather would be like with these..🤔
My thoughts: Why the Navi over the Grom?
@@Trave1s_with_Chris hahah that’s a funny story actually…. I was in a situation where I needed a bike quick but didn’t have my motorcycle license. So I figured it can pass as a scooter if I got pulled over. I got my license now, actually took the test with the Navi, I’m looking to upgrade… but kinda intimidated by all the motorcycle accidents I see online to get something bigger. 🤷🏻♂️
@BetaClimbers as someone who has been "riding dirty" for years, you had the smarter decision. Just stay smart and ride like everyone's trying to kill you, you'll be fine.
@@BetaClimbersAfter watching you tell everyone they are dumb for not wearing a helmet while you don't ride a motorcycle with riding pants or boots. The atgatt riders would roast you the same way....
@@yesterdaysnews3524 yeah I wanna get a full kit and a nicer bike too. I just started riding.
