I'm not a rodeo fan, but I don't understand why they don't dehorn the bulls. It doesn't affect the bulls' disposition it would be much safer for the riders.

So if I blindly walk onto a highway and make it to the other side I'm awesome, but if I get hit by a car it was unexpected? Maybe this is why people don't go jumping off sheer cliffs, you may not live.

3:33 I've never heard it pronounced that way. I've always said it like: Carra-beaners... You say it like fake teeth...veneers...caribeneers.... Too funny! Im not hating..its cute.. Story: My GPS once pronounced ALAMO: A-LAME-O, and we get a laugh to this day with that....

There is a few of these riders, that could die, and if you could bring them back, they’d ride again.

I remember this. It was an annual trip. Nothing bad happened before this trip. So sad. Heartbreaking for the families and our city.

I don't claim to be an expert, I have only climbed a few lesser peaks in the Cascades, but at minimum, I believe they should have had all necessary provisions for an emergency overnight or two. Any day climb can easily turn into an overnighter with changes in weather or health issues of one or more in the party. Emergency procedures, such as self-arrest, need to be practiced until they become muscle memory. This is no place for a large group with absolutely no prior experience. This trip should have been the culmination of an intensive mountaineering training class, especially considering it was a group of adolescents.

The story of Wiessner and Wolfe could do with a tiny bit more detail. According to what I have heard, the camps were emptied by the "team" on the assumption that all above them must be dead. Wiessner was furious. The attempts to go back up to bring Wolfe down were defeated by storms. It was practically impossible to climb up in the blizzards without getting blown off the mountain. About the K2 disaster, the fall of the guy who went to rescue the Serbian is a new piece of the story! I hadn't heard of him in other videos.

Those mountains remind me of chocolate chip ice-cream! I like potato chips on the side. I don't abuse my ice-cream, it's nice and rounded, not chopped up, not left too long in the freezer. The challenge I have is deciding whether or not I want one more scoop. If it's a long video, I usually go for it! I mean, it's not like I don't care about guys stranded on K2, just that I don't see that there's much I could do to help. "Better late than never" doesn't really apply in historical situations. Sorry their expedition didn't go as they had imagined.

I listened to this video with much intend and interest. In Dec 2023 I climbed Kilimanjaro. We also summit on 2nd last day from midnight to 7am. However what was supposed to be a sunny morning at sunrise turned out to be a full blizzard with apparently -15 deg C. The guides blamed it on climate change. Highly unusual. Then you have to deal with altitude sickness too. Was an unforgetable death defying experience.

There was a similat incident in the 1936 when a British school teacher, Kenneth Keast, took his students on hike on a mountain in Germany in bad weather despite being warned by the locals. Several boys died because of the ego of this treacher.

OMG. I recall visiting my friend in Portland with my then fiancé. We decided to ski Mt Hood and I recall it took forever to get down it and we got back late. I recall it as a bit treacherous. And I couldn’t imagen being forced to walk up a cold snowy mountain. Yikes! How awful a requirement. And that poor young runner, who was very thin.
