The TERRIFYING Last Minutes of Professional Bullrider Amadeu Silva

Ойын-сауық

The crowd's roar filled the rodeo arena as the chutes swung open and the bull exploded out, spinning and kicking frantically. Sitting atop 1500 pounds of raging muscle and sinew was a lean, focused cowboy, his gloved hand clenched tight on the bull rope. Amadeu Campos Silva held on for dear life, his lithe body absorbing the bone-jarring bucks and gyrations of the massive beast beneath him. Eight seconds stretched into an eternity as man and bull battled, the crowd screaming encouragement. With a final mighty kick, the bull sent Silva, but not before he reached back and grabbed a fistful of fur - he had made the buzzer. The crowd went wild as Silva jumped to his feet, fist pumping triumphantly. This was Silva's element, and he was born to be here.
Until one fateful day in 2021, when the cheers of the crowd turned to silent gasps of horror. What happened to this professional bull rider during a freak accident?
Amadeu Campos Silva stepped up the metal rails and eased down into the bucking chute, a familiar ritual he had done countless times before. At just 22 years old, Amadeu was already an accomplished bull rider, pursuing his dreams on the professional rodeo circuits across Brazil and the United States. As he situated himself atop the bull named Classic Man, Amadeu had no way of knowing this ride on August 29th, 2021 would be his last.

I grew up in south Alabama on a cattle farm in the 50s and 60s. It was my dream to be a national championship bull rider. So I started with young steers and bulls when I was 14. It's like any other sports. You love it, and it gets in your blood. By the time I was 19, I was competing in rodeos doing saddle bronc and bull riding all over America. By the time I was in my mid-20s, I was very competitive and on my way to the PRCA semi-nationals. But getting there, I had just about ever bone broken in my body. And when I was 29, I had my back broken for the 3rd time. The doctors told me that one more ride would probably paralyze me. So my dream never came true. And I'm in my mid-70s now and live with a lot of pain every day from those rodeo riding days. Someone asked me not long ago. If I had it all over to do again, would I climb on the back of a bull again? I looked at him and said, "absolutely ".😊

The video they played over and over with the bull coming down with his back feet on the guys chest. That is Ty Murray on the bull that accident happened in the early 2000. The other rider who went flying and hit the bulls head was Jess Lockwood. Whoever put this video together used videos and wrecks of other riders and not the boy who actually passed away. Good tribute but very misleading for people who do not know anything about the sport and or who's in it.

It's sad but he wasn't the first man to die riding bulls and he won't be the last. The horns will beat up the cowboy but it's the hooves that cause the deaths. The ribs break and pierce the heart and that is the end of the trail. There are no atheists in a bucking chute and God has a special place in his heart for rough stock riders. Godspeed Amadeu, you're riding with the Lord now.

It’s not just the hooves, look at Lane Frost, he was horned while he was on the ground. It broke his ribs and it pierced his heart. That’s why Tuff made the protective vest and why most bull riders where them now, so they have some type of protection against the horns.

Congrats! You have the dumbest comment on this video. You obviously have no idea how much dedication, commitment and love that professional bull riders or any rough stock rider, for the sport. The men on the PBR circuit are not men that are doing it because their parents made them. These men are professionals who constantly train, diet and practice the majority of the year to prepare and stay in shape. The caliber of these bulls are not that of the little hometown rodeos, high school and college rodeo teams... A person whose being forced to ride bulls by their parents and hate the sport, will not be in the PBR. I competed over 30 years, which includes high school and college rodeo teams, and I can not remember anyone being there because mommy and daddy forced them to rise bulls...not for sure how many rodeos you have competed in, but mommy and daddy pushing their child to ride bulls will not get them anywhere near financially secure, quite the opposite, the money won at a rodeo is used to get you to the next one and to pay your entry fees...your comment is ridiculous and shows that you are the type of person who blames everyone else for things that shouldn't of happened .... Mommy made me do it ....

That's a pretty rough comment. Remember that his father was also a bull rider. I doubt seriously that Dad did very much pushing. He wouldn't have needed to. Bull riding was in Amadeau's blood. There's a comment by a former bull rider that I just read here who was told that if he rode again he could be paralyzed. He stopped riding. At age 51, when asked if he would do it again, he replied, "Absolutely." This young man died doing what he loved. He wasn't going to stop until he met his goal and probably would have continued afterward as well. Dad was not to blame.

RIP I remember the shoe shaped bruises on my chest from slipping under my horse; but getting the wind knocked out of me, and being slobbered on by the horse while I lay prone I got away amazingly lucky. It's not just riding bulls. I've ridden and trained horses a large part of my life. Handled brood mares and breeding stallions and trained the younsters. I've been hit head on by a running horse, had mt knees slammed into fence posts ect. In my 50s i was bucked off and broke most of my ribs on oneside. I'm 71 now and had bad knees and other aches and pains but still in good health. My worst injury had nothing to do with rodeo or horses. I fell 2 years ago and shattered my kneecap. Was nonweight bearing for 4 months and 3 months of pt. It is the true meaning of cowboy up. Most of us have a high pain threshold and it is just a way of life.
