Top 6 Worst Formula One Deaths in Racing History

Ойын-сауық

It's a high-tech, high-stakes chess match on wheels. Leaders swap repeatedly in the game of pit strategy and fuel conservation. Telemetry data pours into the pits to be analyzed for the slightest adjustments. Driver concentration must be flawless as the cars dance on the razor's edge of control. In a sport where millionths of a second separate podium spots, the risks are great but the glory is higher for those who can master both car and course. Formula 1 uniquely mixes danger, cutting-edge technology, strategy, and split-second decision making into the highest level race on the planet.
When you place 20 courageous drivers on race tracks built for high speeds and tight cornering, you’re bound to be left with some fatalities.
Since its inception, about 52 drivers have died on the hot tar of the circuit, and this number doesn’t include marshals and spectators.
Strap in for a wild ride as we take a look at some of the worst F1 fatalities in the history of this extreme motorsport.

0:22 "All you hear is the thunder rumbling fron the 20 car's hoods..." The engines are behind the driver, in the rear, the script writer doesn't have a clue, this is just rubbish. I could go, how about the "sweaty hands grabbing the wheel" what a shame the F1 team couldn't afford gloves for the drivers. And that's just in the first minute! Was this written by a child?

The guard rail took off the top of the his Tyrrell from shoulders on up...photo and also visual sketch showing where the lower guard rail gave way but the top one didn't. @@frankwaugh1894 Your description sounds more like what happened to Koinigg in 1974. Cevert''s car hit the guardrail and the back end of the car folded up and over the front end, pinning Cevert along the top of the guardrail and mostly severing him at the mid-section. There is a grainy photograph of Cevert still in the car (you can see his helmet) and it's clear that his torso is not intact because his legs are too far away from his chest. Cevert was not decapitated. Stewart always intended to retire after that race, but he told only Ken Tyrrell and not even his wife. Given the circumstances, the team withdrew from the race and Stewart's career was over. Stewart was not traumatized by the Cevert crassh. He had seen many drivers die before Cevert did, and he was already done. Cevert's crash was just one on a long list of fatal accidents which motivated Stewart to continue his campaign for increased safety in the cars and on the circuits.

This is a bad production with mispronunciations, errors and omissions. At 8:50: , you mention about safety barriers. This was in 1970. But the following deaths of Williamson and Koinigg , plus another in 1973 involving Francois Cevert were also instances of faulty barriers, so how can you say any attention was paid to safety barriers after this? 13:50: The race was NOT run in wet conditions. Race day was dry. It rained during PRACTICE a couple of days before. 14:43: Pryce was NOT “coming around a corner”. This was on a straight, about a quarter mile from the last corner. Pryce was behind another driver who saw the marshal and juked to the side to avoid him. Pryce was too close and had no time to react to the to marshal right in his path. Lastly, there are many omissions here and instead of spending 3 minutes on a rambling introduction, you could have also talked about the accidents of Lorenzo Bandini,(fire) Piers Courage(fire), Francois Cevert,(barrier) Gilles Villeneuve( ejected from the car and thrown in the air into a catch fence), Roland Ratzenberger (head on at 160 MPH into a barrier on world wide TV) and Jo Siffert( burned alive in non championship F1 race).

The Tom Price facts are wrong as well. The Kyalami circuit had a reasonably large crest across it before it plunged downwards. Jansen Van Vuuren & his fellow marshal were not given permission to cross the track, they took it upon themselves to do so. They could not see cars approaching them until it was too late. Likewise, cars driving towards them had to wait until they got to the top of the crest before they could see anyone or anything very far ahead. Tom Price was tucked up behind another car in the slipstream, the car in front barely had enough time to react much, and when Tom pulled out of the slipstream, he had no possible time to avoid hitting the second marshal, who was the second to cross the track. It wasn’t just Jansen Van Vuuren’s foot that was struck, it was the lower half of his body. When you see him spinning in the air, his body *seems* to expand like a pizza dough base. You do see him land, but apparently what was left of his was *so* unrecognisable that the only way they could confirm it was definitely him was by counting every other marshal.

Tracical facts for Jochen Rindt... Two month before his accident in Monza he had some accident in Clermont-Ferrand(France).. the steering was broken.. It was, like the brake-shaft, a hollow tube, cause of weight reducing.. After the accident he said to Chapman "If this happens again and i survive, I kill you!" It happened again! Few days before he died he said to a friend, he was thinking about finish his career, cause of low security in F1, especially Lotus... His teammate Miles had few days before nearly the same accident like him later, brake-shaft broken, he survived luckily. He had extreme Fear against accident with fire, so he did not close the belt around his leg, for getting out more fast. In his accident he was strangulated by the belt-lock... 😢😭

Where did the uploader get their supposed ‘facts’ from?! Jocken Rindt didn’t like fastening the 5th seatbelt (in between his legs) because given how tightly you are buckled into the car, and given where the testicles sit, some of the G-forces are felt *right there* . When you watch any drivers whole procedure getting into the car even today, once both feet are in the cockpit (stood up), you normally always see them ‘rearranging their valuables’ before sitting down, as the last thing anybody wants is that dull sickening testicle pain while trying your hardest to drive as fast as possible. It was nothing to do with it taking too much time to extract himself from a crashed car. Also, just about every single driver, circuit, and team that is spoken in this video by Yank ChatBot are *horribly* mis-pronounced!!

If you guys seriously think that the most horrendous and ghastly accidents took place only in F1 over the past decades, then let me throw a few name's at you, from the Indycar ranks: Greg Moore, Fontana, California, 1999. Dan Weldon, Las Vegas 2011. I could go on with a few more names, but i believe I've proven my point: that truly horrendous deaths don't always occur solely within the ranks of F1; they're still very likely to occur in other motorsports as well, with no warnings whatsoever.

Hi there, a suggestion for your next video here. Could you do a top 6 worst videos on this channel in youtube history? My 8 month old nephew knows more about racing than this AI bullshit posted here. At least make half an effort to attempt to pretend that you've even heard about the videos subject more than 5 minutes before posting the vid next time, please :)
