Have you considered who would pay for insurance with self driving? Meaning if you own it and you send it off by itself and it gets in an accident who would be liable you or Tesla? Would your insurance company charge you a hefty premium or even allow it? I wonder about that. I agree 12.3.4 is remarkable especially starting from beta back in 2019!

The missed point about the 4680 batteries was that they hit +1000 packs with line 1 & 2. And will ramp up lines 3 & 4 in the 2nd quarter to finish phase one to keep ahead of the truck ramp. This suggests that phase 2 of the battery line should be ready in quarter 3 to continue ramping up battery production with lines 5-8 [I presume one at a time]. That suggests +4 thousand packs per week by years end or + 200,000 per year run rate. Boston dynamic bot has no hip action and bizarre hands... not even close to Optimus 1 but maybe better than bumble bee? Looks very heavy.

While FSD is better than me much of the time, as it doesn't fall asleep. As a supervisor, FSD has: Cut off inside left turn lanes, curbed my rear wheel, jerkes the wheel into odd wide intersections, needs clear marking of the road,(for example, it spirals to the curb searching for a white line and freaks out when it comes back) FSD does remember and is getting better. Tesla you're welcome for my service. My version is 12.3.4. I own a Y and a 3. 56 shares of tsla. I have skin in the game. Tick tock. Will happen eventually.

If they use my "compute" (ugh), they'll pay me for it. I have spent a fair amount of think trying to figure out why I, who have been a computer programmer and computer scientist since 1962, detest the conversion of "compute" into a noun.

1X appears to be working with OpenAI, and are clearly producing bots with some degree of intelligence, possibly a decent competitor to Optimus. The Boston Dynamics bot is exceedingly impressive physically as well, so would benefit from collaboration with Tesla or some other AI company to add the necessary controls, at which point one would have options. We also need a stronger bot for use in moving and caring for patients in hospitals, which I think is the greatest need.

Let's postulate that 100% of the current political press's 100% negative and frequent takes on Elon are 100% wrong. (Unlikely, unfortunately). What could Tesla, SpaceX, or the community do to begin some counter arguments in these fora. They are clearly having a measurable negative impact on Tesla, and no doubt on Elon himself. No one, present company included, seems willing to present a balanced view of this complex person -- it's either all great or all terrible. Drives me nuts.

about FSD - why not have an annual event.. every year, have a 3-month FSD free to all, & at the end of the 3 months, a reminder to buy the full FSD or get the $99/ month FSD.. that makes sure all TESLA owners get to experience the FSD .. 😊

why not have a TESLA car swap/ buy-back whenever one wants a new TESLA, & Instead of scrapping the batteries frm an old TESLA, just re-purpose the old batteries as grid storage, specially the LFP batteries, instead of recycling them.. this shud be an initiative coming from TESLA.. for their grid storage solution.. this will basically cost nothing, that can being down the prices of their powerwalls...
