Your examples are great, but I think there’s massive use cases for small scale farming. If you have a robot that can tend to the daily grind and help harvest fruits and veges I think there could be a major shift in how local food can get. I’m sure these bots will initially be for indoor only applications, but pair a one and especially a few bots on an acre or so of land with built in sensors or sensors you can add on and the possibilities become endless.

possibilities are endless in EVERY field. (field meaning job, not literal field) That is why nearly every company that makes a good humanoid robot, will fucking............print.............money.

I would like to take your money Zach, but I don’t have a smart phone. I watch you guys each Wednesday on my computer. I have wanted a robot since reading Asimov as a child.😊

nice exercise guys...I have been so excited ever since day one for an optimus sub prime! Though, I admit at first I thought how cool to have a carpenters helper to work with me....now I "need" a pair of them asap!!!

I subscribed quite a while ago because I like your insights which make me aware of stocks/technologies that have huge potential. I buy 2 types of stocks, those that pay high dividends and stocks that deal in future technology. Some of the future technologies stocks I have bought include EVTOLS, batteries, green energy production, artificial intelligence, robotics, 3D vision and 3-D printing. I see you mentioned a company(ABB) whose stock(ABBNY) I bought 4 years ago. I use the "house's money"(=dividends) to buy more stock. I like to gamble with "start-ups" especially those developing new technology.

I’ve tried telling friends and family about this since 2018 and it’s funny because people don’t really understand and don’t have the vision. And then you realize why most people miss the boat.

I have long thought that the most valuable thing we could do with humanoid, or at least mobile, robots would be to help in hospitals to lift and shift patients who are not mobile. This requires a machine stronger than Optimus, which is intentionally made weaker than a human for safety reasons. Nurses are going to have to risk their backs for somewhat longer, it seems.

If 1X robots didnt exist I would think tesla has no real competition. But these guys are doing the opposite of the 10 other similar bot companies you might have seen at the Nvidia presentarion that werent tesla bots. They already have bots in real places doing security work

You guys need to adjust your math a bit. The CAGR for a 100% return after 13 years would be closer to 5.5% than 7.7%. It is not accurate to simply divide 100 by 13 to get the answer.

To answer the question "will you give them up?" You first need to know who already has them at home. Not that many people, I guess. Of course, we are talking about domestic robots, here. Not the industrial ones.

I have an outdoor laser tag business. I think it will be great to get a robot to carry the boxes and then build something to attach 6 laser guns to the robot so that the kids can play against the Terminator. Not sure I will make $40k from that

A sentient being is not enslaved if it is working for you? I seem to remember elon saying the word sentient.

@@Digital-Dan not as much as you might think. The sentient robots would be able to have their consciousness in the cloud and control many bodies. Imagine if you could work and play at the same time 🤔 it would be very little effort for a robot to do that. How much would you help out if it was no effort? Just have to ask nicely 😉

me wondering what i will be doing when this robot takes my job away. despite you not wanting to do all these trivial jobs, that in turn gives someone else like me that opportunity to do that job. my fear is this robot will take enough jobs away from those that would otherwise have them that the wheat will be sifted and the chaff left to be trampled on.

You could have mentioned this other car company that is already selling robotics products that are quite a bit more advanced than teslas shit in pants bot. Boston Dynamics just released their new atlas robot, that is a bit more interesting that teslas.

Well yes they could have mentioned BD and they didn't. How uninformative of them. We might have to actually do some research to find out what is really going on. Life is so unfair.

No one else has Tesla's real world AI data to use for their bots. They mostly just right code objects to do specific tasks. Tesla will be using pure neural nets with massive amounts of data. There's no real competition to Optimus yet.
