2 minutes of turnaround time… if you don’t have to charge. How long is a typical ferry ride if 60 miles of range is considered good?

The hovercraft, such as that across the British Channel, looked attractive, but in practice are horrible. The engines and props that propel and suspend the craft are the noisiest of any transport I ever experienced. The ride was also quite choppy, which added to the noise. It appears that, at least on waterways that are appropriate for this boat, most or all of the issues would be solved. I'd enjoy trying one of these, for sure.

There's that shamelessly elitist and icky mentality of charging more for environmentally friendly transport again. 🤮

Disagree. When releasing a new product the overhead is really high while the income is near zero. Is it greed to charge more for the newest tech when demand is high and ppl are willing to pay and the company is in the red gushing cash? You want a socialist model for new, capital intensive tech? Who gets the first one, will there be a lottery? Socalism makes sense for things everyone needs like medicine not new products that are not needs.
