    I'm a retired SW Engineer who worked 40 years in the trenches making stuff work. That guy in the business suit is not likely an engineer, he's more likely a salesman. Working 90-hour weeks may sound glamourous, but I've seen coworkers taken in ambulance to the hospital, some never to return. It's scary and sad. Typically, a new engineer will work for a startup because it is high risk, potentially high reward. If that startup doesn't survive (75% don't survive the first year), they still have time in their career to make up for getting paid in now-worthless stock options. When they mature a little more, they will now have experience that is extremely valuable to a company. They will generally know what works and what doesn't work from experience. However, at that point, they also will have other obligations, such as families and saving for retirement. It is essential that they have a reasonable work-life balance.

    THIS...I love Zack and Jessy and Elon, but their work life balance ideology really scares me, as an engineer and would actually make me avoid working for Tesla. Expecting to spend your life slaving away at work and somehow still have as many kids as possible? That does not work in the real world.

    @33 Time is the only commodity you can't get more of. Of course, a $50+ billion bonus might make a difference, but those are extremely rare. LOL!

    PEMDAS,as a mnemonic device for the hierarchy of operations, is cool, however, the “symmetric property of equality“ is actually the relevant nerd-ism. 😊

    Pretty sure he is a petroleum engineer or whatever a plastics engineer is trained in.

    The difference between a good engineer and a great one is 10x or more - the good engineer might not be able to intuit a quick way to solve an issue vs a slow one - or might not be able to reach a solution at all.

    Is the Boring company still active ? The last videos I saw about that company said that it wasn't responding from inquiries from potential customers. That could mean that they have more work on their hands that they can handle or it could mean the company is dormant.

    You'd think after millions in free advertising, Elon could micro-manage a little less and give Zach a Head of Customer Relations gig and maybe manufacture Zach's Cybertruck (20th in line), so he can get to work? Jesse gets his own Cybertruck as a thank you.

    There's a lot of humanoid bot companies to work for. Tesla is not the best place to work if you have a family.

    No, talent or being smart does not create positive disruption or success. Absolutely not! Making correct logical decisions is the key for good outcomes. Big difference. Terrible decisions by very talented and smart people ended up with total ruin. Example: Steve Jobs made Apple go bankrupt twice with disruptive ideas the nobody wanted - Alisa and McIntosh !!! Instead, a gray unknown engineer came up with the idea of a smart phone.
