Looks like there has to be a follow up to this interview with an actual Cybertruck!

The cap, at least, needs to have a window on the front portion to allow light to the rear seats.

The rear hatch of both our cap and our wedge campers are fully glass 👌

Compared to towing a small camper, should not be nearly the range hit and won't have to unhook to Super Charge so its got that going for it.

Yes, there are many reasons to have a truck camper (no added registration fee comes to mind) and to not tow a trailer! Freeing the hitch for other toys is another one. But simply being able to park anywhere is a biggie.

I wonder if you had the range extended battery pack could you use the preheat the battery for charge feature as heat in this tent unit? Provided of course it's not to cold out and you cover the screening/windows.

I'd like to see some aero consideration on the back end.

Very cool! Been following them for over a year now on KZread. I definitely want one to put on my Cybertruck when my number comes up. It will be awhile. 😂

Be nice it they can add a sliding rear window for the truck so climate control can flow through to the back if it has a cap on with the tonneau cover put away.

It really is a shame the Cybertruck doesn't have a 110v plug in the fronk. Sleeping area in the back. Kitchen in the front.

Between this & the Cyberlander, which do y'all think you'd prefer?

I think the Cyberlandr is really cool tech. The problem, for me is, I would like to be able to store gear inside the the bed. It doesn’t look like that’s an option with the Cyberlandr. I may be wrong. They’re just stuffing a lot of cool things in it.

The Cyberlander looks a lot more improbable. The whole thing is a collapsable, transformer like cabin that is too complicated to be lasting.

Unfortunately, with such a poor driving range of 240 miles compared of promised 520 miles, this is a waste of money.

That’s about the same freeway distance as a Model Y. 3hr driving legs without a break is typically fine for most of my driving. A lot of camp/RV sites also have 240v electrical outlets. (Note: I definitely would have preferred the 500 mile rated range).

Yes I just drove from NC to southern FL in my Y. I got almost exactly 250 miles from 100% before I had to stop and charge (going over 70 mph). I suppose some people just like being road warriors and not stopping for 400 + miles but for me I want to stop and stretch my legs ever 2-2.5 hrs anyways.

Even in Montana the longest spacing between superchargers is 160 miles. So 240 is plenty of range to travel to Moab from Montana in spring and fall. That’s my primary vehicle camping trips. I mostly bikepack for my primary camping excursions.

Since this guy knows his way around CAD and manufacturing, I’m pretty sure his design will continuously improve. Might be hard to catch.
