Would agree that the Neue Klasse's Kidney grill is more attractive than their current cars. What is considered good design can be subjective however bad design is universal.

to smal to be usefull for families and to pricey. The EV transition is slowly failing due the the inablity/not willingnes of car manufacturers to build affordable sub 25K EV family cars.

I have just bought one of these. And I can honestly say I am very impressed. It's so comfortable and smooth. Full of tech. I have driven a lot of vehicles.. And to be quite honest, this is probably my favourite. Now where's my keys?? I need a mocha in a mokka.

I am interested in the car but don’t care about the programmable exterior lights. They could also make this vehicle more approachable on price by removing that screen for the front passenger…it really is an unnecessary cost.

The are the Vision Neue Klasse concepts, I'm amazed no one has mentioned the original Neue Klasse models that set the template for all of the classic models of the 60s through the 80s into the 90s. From Wikipedia: The BMW New Class (German: Neue Klasse) was a line of sedans and coupes produced by German automaker BMW between 1962 and 1972. These models ensured BMW's solvency after the company's financial crisis of the 1950s and established the identity of BMW automobiles as sports sedans.

Too bad Ford ran out of names for the cars and started recycling Mustang and Explorer. It'll cause confusion if this car will ever make it to America.

If the design language expressed in the concept drawings is anywhere near what the production cars turn out to be like, then that will be a MAJOR improvement of what BMW have been churning out over recent years, especially on the front end. Those front grills of recent years always reminded me of the film, The Fly - dead ugly!

It looks much better., at least the outside. I have an iX and the look 'grows on you', but it takes time. I hope they also bring back the fun of the i3. And finally, I hope the '4 brains' will be able to control the tendency of the iX to turn things on that I do not want and actually turned off (all kind of beeps for various functions). Looking forward to your first review of the New Class.

I'm not that much of a BMW guy, but anything is fine by me if it's an EV 4 seater. This, the Nio Et9, etc. Also I never realised the i3 was discontinued, I've seen so many of them. A shame, to be honest Also also, I really do like the style of the IX and the (top spec) I7

I think this is a good move by BMW. Their recent cars have been downright ugly, and I was beginning to think they had really lost the plot. The saloon reminds me of an updated 507, not a bad thing at all! As for ease of disassembly, that would certainly be a welcome change- Bimmers are notoriously nightmarish to work on, requiring massive tear down to solve simple problems

Personally, I am disappointed that Alfa Romeo is discontinuing the gas-powered Giulia and now focusing on EVs. To me, that's a step backwards and if anything they should have offered the Giulia in a manual transmission in the US which would have been a step forwards. No one knows the future, but my impression is that EVs are a fad and that some much better technology will come along in the next 10-20 years that may rival gas-powered cars and relegate EVs to Betamax status.
