I agree, I felt I had watched this exact review ages ago - but the 'timeline for production' section refers to 2024 as 'this year'.
It’s probably the only vehicle ever designed that chills you out when you drive it, it’s such a throwback from the past, it’s so charming.
The subtitles are very reassuring, starting at 00:15 with "we don't do many electric pants on the Filly charged show" 😆

Needs to have a bulkhead behind the seats. Last thing you want when you hit the brakes is a 1T pallet hurtling towards the rear of your head? That 6.5 cubic metre of space will shrink as well as weight increasing. Love the design.

I suspect that would be a legal requirement if it ever makes it to production bin a honesty I can’t see too many of these lugging pallets around. They’re way too niche.

I really hope they can make these and sell them in sufficient numbers to make the venture worthwhile. I can see it appealing to people in certain niches, but not widely, as I’m sure the headline price will rule them out for most business users. Please may I be proved wrong on this - best of luck, Morris. PS please try one in GPO khaki green, it would look so cool.

Yeah, it's disappointing to see more repetition from the Fully Charged team
My dad had one of the original vans, he was a carpet fitter and filled it with carpet and flooring as his work van. He said it drove like a boat 🤣🤣 So I hope this new chassis is designed a lot better than that.
Brilliant 1950s styling. Really attractive.
i love them Jack and couldn't agree more, along with the minibus and pick up they have to release a camper, prettiest E thing i've seen
I'm a full time artist and currently drive a Nissan ENV200 40kw electric van to all my exhibitions. I would absolutely love something this, it would work so well for many artists. We often camp in our vans at exhibitions too. Icsmp in my ENV200, but would love a camper version of this van! 😍 Edit: I would also love it if you folks covered vans more often! They may be boring to you, but are very interesting to me, as someone who drivesan EV van and wants to upgrade someday.
Is that an electric lawnmower @6:15? Also, slow down the speed to ½ and Jack sounds just like your mate down the pub!
I saw these at the Fully Charged show last year. I told the guys from the company that I now needed to think of a business idea that needed a van so I would have a reason for buying one

So nice of Bobby to let you use his front yard for filming. Bjorn is going to need a LOT more banana boxes for testing. Was that an electric lawn mower at 6:16 ?
Sorry but vans have had the names and logos of their owners painted on them since long before they had engines. To suggest that advertising on vans was a new idea in the 1950s is ludicrous. 30 seconds of searching will find thousands of images of commercial vehicles with advertising going back to at least the early 19th century!
LOVE IT! They're absolutely GORGEOUS!!!
Oh so nice to see a new British vehicle, and it’s very attractive too. Well done
If they made a camper version I would buy it immediately! PLEASE PLEASE MAKE A CAMPER VERSION!
I’m not sure about the value of reviewing a preproduction model but I was impressed by the quality of the video - moving seamlessly from the view from a leading to a side camera car without distracting from the audio. 👏👏
That is what I want all my deliveries to show up in. Awesome beautiful job!
love this thing. i hope to see a bunch of these plying the roads, doing service
was hoping for an update, not a repeat
In the early 1960s my father had an original j type van, which he converted into a bus using a hand drill and a hacksaw to cut the openings for the windows! He went to a London bus breakers to get the seats. Really pleased to see this modern version.
Absolutely perfect! Too bad you couldn’t export those to the US. You all need all the exports you can get.

It would be awesome to see this in the US. Manufacturing is a big challenge, but wouldn't it be great to see a factory in the US, or have another company build it under license, for the North American market? Not sure whether they'd convince package delivery to opt for these over e.g. Sprinter, Transit, etc. Doesn't have quite the same volume, but much better efficiency/range might count for something. But lots of smaller mobile businesses, tradespeople, etc. would find these useful and maybe lower cost of ownership. Besides, as noted you can't beat the visual appeal.
Beautiful characterful charming light commercial vehicle, proper head turner, wishing them a huge success.🇬🇧

This vehicle has already been covers by fully charged, it’s been in development for years now. Unfortunately I do don’t think it will ever make production. SAIC LDV have there finger in this pie.
You are a Bit Late to this - The JE was formally unveiled on 13 November 2019, with production announced to commence in 2021 with an expected price of around £60,000.
Very curious where the feedstock for the recycled carbon fiber monocoque comes from. I didn't know that there was much waste/end of life carbon fiber product in the market that would be suitable for recycling. Interesting!

It's nice that they are continuing development, but this year the Nissan Interstar ( Renault Master E-tech ) will enter the market with a payload of 1600kg and an 87kWh battery. Also Opel/Vauxhall Vivaro-e- e and Citroën Ë-Jumpy with a payload of over 1100 kg are already on the market. So it's an interesting idea, but they had already lost their main advantage before they hit the market.

You could probably pay someone a couple of grand to slap some bits of bulbous glass fibre and chrome on one of those to make it old-timey for nostalgia / advertising.
i like the idea, but design wise, i would have done a modern retro look, like what VW done to the Beatle, or the Ora cat
Good luck, Morris will need it.

The creeper’s van. Jeepers Creepers
No point to give a full review but can compare a van that's not ready to one that's already on the road and sold? I get the feeling this video is just to drum up investment with funds running low given they haven't gotten it onto the road in the years since it was last "not" reviewed.

I've loved this van for ages and the thing isn't even being made yet. But they have stated and according to the web site still state that the thing will start from around £60,000. They need to make it a proper cabover and scoot the seats up to the windscreen, it would get the same or better cargo volume as the ID buzz

Loved the potential of this when there was just the blue van concept. It has been a few years now. Some things take a while. Not everybody can move as fast as Tesla and BYD. I sat in the pink one at last year's Farnborough venue of the Fully Charged show. I left it desperately hoping for a Camper, but even more that this van succeeds.
Some windows down the side of the JE version and it can become a mini camper that is too cool for words.
I want this as a bus. I want it NOW!
Those are super cute.
Jack Jack Jack, it's not a BAT-TREE, it's a ba-TTerY ❤
Need to get this to Australia for all delivery services!
Noticed on the orginal van the address Upper Norwood SE 19, I lived in that area as a boy in Crown Dale.
Brilliant!
Would be great as a camper or delivery van in Oz, why not throw a big 100kwh lfp battery in and some solar on the roof, would really help us get over the Nullarbor dessert.
You can laugh now jack, sounds like my clapped out Allegro in the 80s. Leave it to the Chinese, they know what they're doing😂
would love to see these as campers!
I love it, and that Morris is the Morris. 🎉
Yes. more vans!
Interesting, yet you can already buy a Buzz. (The Buzz is not cheap though, so pricing of this van will be interesting.) Final question: Does it take a sheet of 8x4, the genius Transit test?
Looking particularly foppish today, Jack.
I want to sleep in a van like that. Cracking minimalist camper.
Love them
As many others have said and have seen, these vehicles have been around for a couple of years. I am concerned about the rapid timeline that appears to be being promised. To build and open a production facility and complete production prototypes and homologation will take 18 months to two years. So not 2025 more like spring summer 2026.
Would be great if it existed…
I love the looks -- but sounds rattlely going down the road. I want the Truck👍

Love the look of this van. I find the 2025 delivery timeline to be utterly unlikely. Given they don't even have a factory yet, I think we're simply being exposed to Musk-style optimism.
@fubar12345
24 күн бұрын
Oh nooo not optimism. God forbid we not be cynical and angry 24/7.
How does it have a carbon fibre monocoque when it already has an aluminium chassis?
Always good to have a variety of vehicles and approaches to making them. I do appreciate their go local as much as possible approach. Tesla tries to do the same thing, so I think that shows it is a good idea. Not trying to be the most advanced EV is smart as well. I value Aptera, but they have been through many peaks and vallies over the past decade because they were basically trying to reinvent the passenger vehicle. As viewers of this channel probably already know, we might actually see a few deliveries this year. I can believe this van might get delivered to customers next year because they trying to keep it simple. I wish them well and hope thosr who buy them have a very positive experience.
So cool
The number of quite well off hippies waiting for a cool practical electric camper van is more than you'd think so it's great to see a British classic that could easily be fitted out with a bed and storage. The eco credentials are an extra bonus.
Love it....

2:14 Nice crooked lettering, just like the original I'd imagine! perfect.
Were there not horse drawn wagons in the UK with company names plastered on the side of them? I find it hard to believe that the original version of this van "pioneered" the idea of plastering your company logo on the side of the body when in the US they were doing that on horse drawn wagons day one, and they were definitely doing it on gas powered wagons day one.
Did jack record the voiceovers from inside the glovebox ? 😂
The mass value seems redundant when it is only a prototype. It will surely be heavier when the inside is sorted to stop the rattles the suspension etc is fixed?
I'd love one of these as a small camper, but I guess it will be over priced and unaffordable for the average Joe.
