Deniers and McPhersonists are the same ... they can't process slow change over decades. They just address their issue in different ways. One denies the change is happening, the other amplifies the change in their minds far beyond reality.

Yes, it is frustrating and infuriating, that nobody wants to listen. But. There is no point whatsoever to TALK about it anymore. Talk means procrastinating. Everyone, who WANTS, knows exactly whats going on. Nobody will be able to convince all those, who deliberately refuse to listen. We MUST take action right now, bottom up is the only way, and leave all those ignorants or malevolent denialists and profiteers of the catastrophy behind without any comment. Also, we can not drag everyone with us against their will. Each hour, each day of delay costs millions of lives.

With the vast majority of people living in cities by 2050 it makes sense that many enviro, socio- economic & political solutions start coming from cities - cities should start being a beacon of hope rather than a parasite on their hinterlands. An IPCC report on climate & cities is long overdue. Climate action in cities is also a good way to bypass climate inaction at gov level! Communities can work together to implement solutions (think global, act local) - the power of collective action. It's also time that the UN programmes start co- ordinating better re implementation of the 17 SDGs in cities - enviro care, food, water, energy, shelter, health, education, mobility, waste management, urban services, social services, emergency services etc If cities can be sustainable, then our world can be sustainable...

If you're worried about the effects of climate change -and you should be very worried to the point of panic - you need to understand what's causing it. It's the economic system and the way it's controlled by and works for a very few. Until it's democratic we won't be in a position to do anything that isn't decided by the interests of the people at the top. We either need to make it democratic or scare the living hell into the people who make the decisions. And that needs to be worldwide.

Climate change is caused by forces far greater than the paltry human economy with its polluting greedy excesses and entitlements. Get with the science...not the mainstream media BS and see the climate is changing because we are into a magnetic pole shift. It was why the aurora this week was so incredible yet it came from a modest solar storm event. Previous aurora displays of similar intensity have required much larger solar storm flare activity. The evidence is there. This political and economic thing is delusional and larval stage consciousness. Awaken from the stupor of same and be enlivened rather than burdened by the BS of climate change according to a bunch of power mongering juveniles who through corporations drive science and its' peer review to skew information then through the media to control the people. Nothing new there...

When using numbers, we tend to think of heat rise as beginning and ending sharply. However, it is more like the difference between cooking with gas vs electricity. Once it warms up it stays that way.for a very long time. Rock is mass. Rocket mass heater, etc. Some humans survived by living underground or in great caves. The universe is not friendly, but neither is it unfriendly. It is.

Brutal heatwaves and submerged cities... what the world will look like after the clean fuels for cruise ships act pt 2 kicks in is more like it. we are already past 3c if we lose the sulphur. The precise problem Dr doom everyone is out to get me McPherson warned us about. I dont know why folks do not take momentum into account. If we went net zero tomorrow, we would still heat for a further 10 years just based on co2 lag, and we are now already at the point that if we lose the sulphur shield, tipping points will take over. Hothouse earth and death of billions is a forgone conclusion that frankly, the scientists are too pussy to acknowledge. someone has to say it. Mitigation is a joke. adaptation to the level of Noah's ark terrariums underground is the very least of it. but y'all just keep on doing things the same way and reporting every blow like the next one could be different. The fight is over, you lost ten moves ago. you just have not hit the deck yet.

All this reminds me of the crash of flight 401. All the crew was focused on whether the nose gear had extended for landing…meanwhile everyone forgot to fly the plane, and it crashed. Governments are all too busy doing studies, meanwhile they all forgot that they’re SUPPOSED to be the “leaders”. Are we all heading for the same fate as flight 401 my friends? God help us.

Various wars and famines in parts of Africa are real and present existential dangers. Should we not addressing those problems as well?

Ultimately, it will actually be human arrogance and hubris that will be the cause of our demise. We, homo sapiens deem ourselves to be "masters of the world" with all of our technological accomplishments. The mind-numbing irony is that those "accomplishments" are the very things that are killing us. We should actually be afraid of ourselves.
