This guy is so off. The disrespect against xavi. Turn the question arround, tell me one coach that before the season starts, with the players xavi had, with the injuries on top of that and to develop the Young players like this except guardiola, they should have beaten psg, they out played real for most of the time. Ate atm up and out played bayern but had horrendus finishing. I would struggle to name one. His play is good. Especially when he had gavi that went in centrally to allow de jong to drop back and aid in the pivot position while balde got space on the left to just destroy teams, and then leave all the right wing space for lamin, and pedri being able to move the ball both directions, to left over progression and right to lamin/rapinha. Do you understand how Manny times xavi had to adopt, the drop of in defense due to busquets leaving and ter being injured. People are completely unrealistic. Give xavi a proper team, give him a proper cdm AT LEAST and a proper left wing that does not dissapear for 90% of the games

My explanation as to why Xavi is extending after all. At the time it was announced that he would retire at the end of the season, Xavi and Barca were at their lowest point, both physically and mentally. Back then, after the disaster against Villareal, Xavi was so demoralised that he would have liked to throw in the towel immediately. At that point, he had lost the belief that he could still have a positive influence on the team. After his announcement, the team got back on track. The unnecessary elimination against PSG and the pointless defeat against Real reinforced Xavi's belief that more was possible. That annoyed him greatly. He didn't want to leave like that. His mission is not over yet...

Barca needs to somehow sell Frenkie, he isnt the guy many fans thought he is, I dont wanna sound harsh but he wont cut it as an elite footballer, his football iq is limited, defensively he is a liability

Who agrees that if any other manager was the coach of barca he would've still promoted the youngsters bcs we didn't have money to spend??? Bcs im sure if barca had money those youngster wouldn't be promoted! Even if it was xavi himself!

I think those youngsters get promoted, but I don’t know if they become starters. I think even Valverde would have gone with Iñigo over Cubarsi as a starter.

Before laporta met with xavi, flick was gonna be the new manager bcs laporta wasn't sure if xavi was gonna stay so he had chose flick alr but when xavi told him hes gonna stay in the meeting laporta changed hes mind and chose xavi. So flick was the favorite no rafa bs. And lets be sers flick has proven himself more and is better than xavi!?

I was more in the Xavi out camp but i think we need to see how he can perform with a proper pivot. His first full season he had an old Busi and this year he had Romeo or non at all. I agree with Dan we need to get a pivot before anyone else.

Excellent point. Full back and wing compatibility is massive and has always been. It's not by chance that Kounde plays better with Lamine ahead of him rather than anyone else at right wing. The issue we have on the left is the exact opposite there is no relationship or compatibility I noticed this when Ansu left and Balde struggled to gel with Felix at the time. Same thing is happening to Cancelo on the left now. I think he has a better synergy with Felix compared to Raphinha.

It is true that Kounde is linking better with Lamine. The only remaining issue is that Kounde does not overlap when Lamine cuts in. That is what Dani Alves did so well for Messi.
